USPS shipping delays

I have ordered several things from members here in last two weeks. Everything is late beyond estimated delivery dates, one item over a week late. Tracking now only says that it will be arriving late but is in transit but no clue as to last location it is in since first major hub it went to first! I also have item from Amazon that is going to be late. If anyone is shipping items that you have sold to other members you may want to use UPS. Looks like our Postal Service couldn't find themselves with both hands! Good luck to everyone getting to hunt this weekend!

I'm finally supposed to get a package that has been sitting at our local hub since 12/4. I have a gift for my wife that that shipped 11/29 that I still don't have. I shipped a platform to another member that was supposed to be delivered Monday. It's still sitting at our local hub according to the tracking. In hindsight I should have used UPS.

I have had several transactions lately and all of them are late! I had one letter that took 3 weeks instead of the 3 days it said originally! It is ridiculous!!!!

I have dropped off packages and they dont even post as "in transit" until 3 days later. Just sitting at the PO waiting to be scanned I guess.

Where the skys are so blue!
Everybody is struggling, but FedEx seems to be my least favorite. They always say the "estimated delivery date" is 2 days after a tracking code is sent. And then every day for the next 5 days when you check it, it'll be there in 2 days...

But UPS also kinda rustled my jimmies when they transfered my package to USPS to be delivered. If I wanted USPS to handle my package, I'd have given it to them.

I do not want USPS to handle my package.

That’s actually a shipping option from UPS called Surepost. It’s a few bucks cheaper than having UPS make final delivery. Some companies will use it to save a few bucks on shipping, especially for “free shipping” promos. Midway used that option ALOT.

Ive also had a recent Amazon package dropped off directly at my local post office for final delivery. Got it same day Amazon dropped it at the PO. Funny that Amazon can get packages to the local POs from just about anywhere in the USin a day or two, but USPS is taking weeks to move it through their own distribution network.

Personally, I think it’s on purpose and USPS is trying to scrounge up some more federal funds. Also heard very unreliable rumors that postal unions are having their warehouse workers ditch work for days at a time to stick it to the new head of USPS and make him look incompetent. Doubt that’s really the case though.

I sent a package of Squirrel Steps to another member here, and my package has been stuck in Pre-Shipment for an entire week. Meanwhile, another package I dropped off the same time made it to the recipient in 3 days.

I'm hoping my package of steps didn't get lost...

Ups and fedex have an agreement with usps no most of my packages get transferred to the usps at the local hub. Anything requiring signature doesn’t get transferred. Here lately none are requiring a signature and packages are getting left everywhere. It’s like a scavenger hunt every day when I get home.

Had a purchase shipped on Nov. 30, still in transit. The 30 day grace period to return money back guarantee ends Dec. 31, wondering if it will even be here by then.

They are all pretty bad.

fedex jacked up several packages over the last couple of months.

ups I had a package in my wife’s name and a package in my name that said delivered yesterday. Well they didn’t deliver it to my house.

I have actually had the least amount of issues with USPS. Packages arrive late but atleast they arrive.

My option of last resort...lol
FedEx ground is 2 day shipping. The tracking always works, and ived never had a delay. Only good experiences here. As anything it all depends on what experience you’ve had where.

Neighbor works for UPS. He is working double shifts and getting time and a half right now because of unprecedented volume. He said he's never seen more stuff come through the local UPS branch. They are trying to hire but finding reliable workers is difficult. They've had to raise the starting wage several times already. He said the pandemic had already increases shipping tenfold over what is was before as most people started to make a majority of purchases online. Couple that with your typical holiday increase and it's no wonder there's delays. Be patient. Those guys/gals are working their tails off to get you stuff as fast as they can.
