Versa/Versa Lite Strap!!!

got mine today. Awesome quality and packability and worked great in the yard for a test run. Genius idea!!!!BRAVO!!!!

I just used my brand spanking new Versa Strap as an aider. The versa buttons on my home made strap are small enough that the versa strap doesn't go over it all the way, too much material, so I just looped it over my top step and it works great. Super easy.

I’m really liking what I’m seeing. Great job Carl. I’d love to see a video. With all these guys using them, I can’t believe no one made a quick video yet.

On another note, I don’t think the versa button is a safe place to hang an aider. Don’t think it was designed for straight down force.
Wouldn’t be hard to girth hitch through a top loop in the strap, then loop over the top of the stick resting down on the v bracket.

I can’t stop thinking how I could use one on a WE Stepp.
All you'd need to do is put a bolt through one side of your WE step and that would give you a way to loop a versa strap or a daisy chain onto it. Slide the step up to take out any slack and cam it over. That might work.

Awesome product. Ill probably be buying some of these from you soon. Someone in my post about ROS had an interesting idea on using these with them. May have to try it out.

I was going to replace the strap & buckle with a cam-cleat & rope to secure my Klemz platform to the tree. The Versa Lite is a quicker & easier way to secure the platform: No metal buckle to orient with the strap to lay flat around the tree nor an overhand knot to tie behind a cam-cleat after cinching the rope tight. The sewn loops in the Versa Lite provide a positive stop, where the other methods depend to some extent on mechanical friction to hold. This was reassuring during my test run in the rain today...Nice work Carl! Thanks Man!

Can you provide a link to the other discussion?
I’m not seeing how this would work with an ROS. I’ve never used a ROS but I’ve been thinking about using one ext year on some setups.

Received mine last week, love it and ordered another to be used as a gear loop!

If you hook this to the bottom stick instead of the top as in your photo @ckossuth, you can also use to take the sticks up the tree.

I have Petzl Caritools in the MOLLE on the left and right sides of my saddle. I removed the metal retaining clips from each one. I have small loops of paracord tied to the tops of my #3 and #4 sticks. I just hang the sticks and take off up the tree.

Great video @PJC!! Just to clarify, that is not the Versa Strap. That is the custom gear hanger I made for him (notice the open loops). The Versa Strap will do everything he showed though.

I tried to keep it a secret, like you asked.

Agreed!! I haven't had a chance to hunt with the beast stick/versa lite combo because I just got the versa lites a couple days ago, had to work yesterday and took a break and went outside and climbed with them, they are awesome, simple, genius solution to the annoying buckle, I was gonna send the beast sticks back, but since I got the versa lites I changed my mind! Thanks @ckossuth
