Weight Loss Surgery

What is your total weight loss goal?

I started at 295
I’m 254 now
I want to hit 235
So 19 lbs left
I work 80 plus hours a week during spring summer and fall so gym is hard to pull off. We were going for about 6 weeks and then the virus shut everything down and work picked up so at this point the next 19 lbs will come from keto and whatever physical activity I do at work

And yes that is a side of pepperoni

Nice !
I was up a little late too
I finally finished my filming setup. I got all the rest of components yesterday so I opened them and did a test fit up

The camera has been sitting in a box for over a month since I ordered it so it was nice to see
I posted this pic on my insta as well

That's a hell of a camera you've got there! I've considered filming but I need to get some more time in the saddle before I try all that. I know it takes dedication, and I just can't actually see myself waiting for a good shot on the camera to finally shoot.

To be honest I don't diet. I want to though, to get down to a lower level of fluctuation.
My coworkers hate that I am a grazer.
I call it light eating, if its light out I will eat. Lol
Everyone says I should weigh #300.
I'm 5'10".
To the point, I am on board with eating all day, real small portions as opposed to eating twice a day.
Try this once. Figure out what you can have in the day and break it up into four portions or find things you can have that will give you four portions.
Plan to eat them every 2.5 hours by the clock. Nothing to do with hungry.
For a couple days it will feel like not much to eat, easy to do but soon enough you will say geez, time to eat again and you will find yourself wanting to skip that portion.
Instead of walking around like a ravenous bear your like, I dont really want to eat. I will consolidate this portion with the next.
Not good. Stick with it until you are accustomed to eating small portions and finding yourself content actually.
Intermittent fasting is good but for me is more of an occurrence than a plan.
I eat rice and beans, veggies used in cooking mostly onions, tomato and various peppers. Also peas green beans and some corn. Lots of eggs and chicken, some pork and little beef, usually in the form of an occasional steak.
I average about 12 miles a month jogging due to work and weather and I do light pyramid workout with dumbells average four times a month, should be more but..
All advertised diets have fine print, results may vary and DIET AND EXCERSIZE. You cant have one without the other. If you workout and eat like a horse you will be big and fat.
If you diet and don't exercise you will look emaciated.
The one book if I had to choose one would be (Body for life).
You don't have to buy his protein powders, do your own plan but his excercise plan is gold. Get as buff as you wish or hold at any level..

I used to be #235-240.
The only good weight loss I ever had was with Body for life.
I just been a bit lax and in summer find myself to distracted or preoccupied to stick to the plan.
That's the commitment part to every plan.
What I like about his plan is after the two week kick start you eat ANYTHING you want every seven days. It required.
If I'm going to a party or get together I will adjust so that's the day I pig out.

Well, day 4 of Keto today. Bad news last night, didn't sleep worth a ****. All I could think about was saddle hunting. Ended up buying a Kong duck, oval caribiner, predator pack, and the no sew predator pack mods. I blame it all on Keto. Lmao. On the bright side, the diet has been going well.

Great on the keto. Keep it up.

You will not feel like you have been hit with a mallet and pass out lke you do when eating carbs. I sometimes wake up at 3AM and watch TV for an hour then go back to sleep. You will also not defecate as much. I feel that the allergens in wheat cause my body to go into repair mode so the deep sleep is repair time and I am passed out. The increased defecation while eating carbs I attribute to my body desperately trying to get rid of the foul substance I put into it. Don't fear the fat.

That's awesome man. I'm starting it first thing tomorrow. I sit on my ass 12 hrs a day as a console Operator these days unfortunately, so I don't expect to see quite the same outcome, but I appreciate you guys, seriously. Big boys gotta drop the pounds.

I’m a board operator 12 hr shift lost 75 pounds doing keto last year with no exercise other than normal work at home. U can do it

Here it is! 1 month in, Squatch has been the coach through out the past month. Answering my frequent questions on top of constantly bsing about saddle hunting.

20 lbs down, 1 short size down, (from barely in a 44 to comfortably in a 42)
On top of that I can see a huge difference in the way my clothes fit overall as well as the way my body feels.

Keto,

Ive done my best to not look at this as a diet, and as a lifestyle change. And dude let me tell you the change has been great. I eat a pile of bacon, eggs, deer meat, and different vegetables in moderation. I cut out the beer, and switched to whiskey (gotta drink something right?) I had one low carb tortilla on about day 3 of going keto, and haven't had a drop of bread since. Goal is 30 Total carbs a day. It's tough at times, but man has it been worth it. I have a picture of myself from family Christmas this past year, I was at my heaviest of 345lbs, and that has been my motivation every day.

Huge thanks to everyone on this post that talked me out of it. Especially @Squatch . I literally wouldn't have stuck with it had it not been for you keeping me accountable to the point that I looked forward to giving you the breakdown every day. I feel like it's smooth sailing from here. No cheats so far, no cheats to come.

I was down to 322 when I started Keto, I'm at 302 now. Got a long way to go to meet my goal of 270 by October. End goal is 250-260 lbs.

Congratulations to everyone.

I want to share my brothers story.
Lets just say I need to drop #20 and he made me look fit.
After last years trip to the mountain, he decided he still loves life and he needed to make a change.
It happened that we met a guy named Vinnie from Pennsylvania who was 75 years old. He came hiking out with an elk head on his pack, his camp was two miles in from the trailhead.
Vinnie had heart surgery 18 months prior and thought he was out of the game. He made his mind up to walk every day to get ready to come back to the mountain.
He told us how precious life is, he inspired us all. He brought a platter of meat which we cooked and it fed us all.

My brother didn't announce his plans but quietly went home and took action.
He joined a coach( personal friend of his)in an Optiva program. He now makes me look thick. He is down #50.

I hope it works out for him. I feel it is an outstanding jump start to lose the weight fast but you will need to get on a diet of store bought food eventually.
It fairly expensive and youtubers that have done it say the same thing.
Get the big weight loss and move on.
