Western/south western Pennsylvania Saddlepalooza, anyone?

If it does occur on gamelands, you wouldn't need your new license. A VALID license would suffice (i.e. the 2018-2019 license is still valid thru and including 06/30/2019).
You know what, I knew that...... I have NO excuse as to why I was thinking that, except for the fact I really thought everyone was gonna say july for the date... but i think we are good anyhow, we wont need gamelands!

Where we at on this? Need to put it on my calendar if it's going down.
Pennsylvanian is the organizer of this.
I havent heard anything for a few days now, but my impression is that it will be on the 29th of June ...most likely at Falcon Archers in Cannonsburg??? The definite location is not confirmed yet I assume???

Correct. I'm still waiting to get final approval from Falcons directors. Looking good but not locked in stone yet. Fingers crossed

ALL,
At this point, we are waiting for the final response from Falcon Archers. Here's where we are so far:
Date: 29 June 2019
Time: most likely start @ 9 for meet greet final setup/ walk through, 10 to start climbing and shooting and so on
I have made contact with tethrd, outonalimb, aerohunter, wild edge, and treehopper. So we have the potential for a nice raffle as well.
Some manufacturers may be sending out some field staff as well, which along with all the experienced fellas, makes an amazing opportunity for us FNG's!
I hope to get this location locked on ASAP, and then hopefully get some volunteers to bring food and drink and such. from there it'll just be a waiting game! let me know if yall have any questions or suggestions.

I realize that its getting close, but please be patient with me. I can't plan anything further until we have a solid location!

Thanks for all your efforts.
I might make a suggestion about food and drinks. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Guys should bring their own grub and liquids. That way we won't have too much or not enough. If someone really wants to bring something, that's fine but for this 1st time event, keep it as simple as possible. Next year, we can have a big blow-out if all goes well this year. Just my opinion.

K.I.S.S. ! deal that is the direction we will take then!

Awesome. Yea good call on the food Tom. It just gets too complicated. Just let us know, when you find out, if there’s a place to have a fire or grill and we can plan accordingly.

Thanks for working on this!

If I remember they have served food for their 3d shoots . Don't known what it would cost to have a cook on hand from the club but that may be one option. Just thinking.

I think in an effort to ensure that we actually get to have this event, I'm not going to complicate the request I've already submitted by asking for more. That would be the most logical thing and a great idea, so thank you. We will have to make sure that is on the list for planning future meets!

Yeah not sure I could arrange a cook. There is a grill there and places to make a fire if necessary.

Any input on the tick situation on Falcon grounds? Should everyone make sure they treat clothes with permethrin? Tick populations can vary wildly over a short distance. My property has none but its loaded with them 500 yards away...I have no idea why that is.

I'd venture to say assume that there are ticks present!
If you made that assumption on my place you would be mistaken.
33 years of hunting, plotting, berry picking and other habitat work on my 31 acres and not one, zero, zilch, nada tick over all those years. Even my springer spaniel never had a tick on my place. Crazy.

Treedoc19 my wife has been running the kitchen for Falcons this year and we can help with anything needed.
