Western/south western Pennsylvania Saddlepalooza, anyone?

Just pulled the trigger on a JX3, hoping it's here in a few weeks. I'm really hoping my schedule stays open, sounds like this event is coming together and will be a good time.

Make those in trad and I'll take 2 and just my opinion...I like when logos are on the back.
 
Went to the 3D shoot today talked to the VP. Only concern they have is climbing a tree with guys around the base. I think we can convince them that we are all grown men and can be responsible enough to do this safely. I volunteered mine and my wife’s time again. I’ll be there this Wednesday for the vote.

I was out of town this weekend and didnt realize today was their shoot until yesterday evening........... man, missed opportunity there, plus they have a good shoot........

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I would be willing to sign a waiver releasing them from any liability regarding any climbing activities.

Yea, I had one made up and sent it to them this morning. This is probably the direction we will be going in order to secure falcon as the venue! We are all grown up and can assume our own risk as it is anyway so I agree with you!

I agree, I’m sure that’s the biggest concern with a lot of places. They don’t want to be held liable for anyone getting hurt. Which is understandable. I am sure everyone would be willing to sign there name to it.
 
The wording of wavers needs to protect everyone involved, not just the club or landowner.
Everyone needs to realize we may be trying out other peoples gear that has been modified. I fully understand that I'm taking a greater risk if I test modified gear.
In no way would I hold anyone else responsible for injury or failure.

Unfortunately two of the directors are totally against it due to liability concerns. Even with waiver we drew up. Said they will check with their Insurance co. and get back to me in couple of days. One idea is for us to get a one day liability policy as a group but don't know how that works.
I'm kind of distracted now due to a kitchen fire in my house yesterday. Everyone ok but have to stay in hotel for couple days. Luckily my hunting stuff is in basement in bins so should be good there. But everything else in house needs cleaned/replaced due to smoke damage. Sucks real bad but could have been a lot worse.
I'll keep group posted if I hear anything else.
