What’s in Your Quiver?

Easton Axis 300’s 10.7gpi
29”
518grn
75grn insert, 100grn point, 5grn collar, 9grn x nock
2” blazer vanes
7.5 grains per pound
14.65% FOC

they shoot great out to 80yds but the heads are noisy. I’ve been shooting slick trick standards but am going to test out shuttle T-locks before season.

Montecs and 400 beman bowhunters. To much going on this year with modeling but want to go to heavy arrow 500 to 550 with black hornet ser razors next year. Planning on getting montects supper sharp and use them up hopefully

300 spine Black Eagle Spartans, 120 gr SS Ethics Insert, 150 gr Cuthroats, 125 Annihilator, and 125 QAD exodus. Going with a mixed bag for my first year

I was setting up a 675 grain 18% FOC arrow, but then I hurt my shoulder. So I'm gonna be sticking with my 250 spine Black Eagle Carnivores cut at 31" with a 50 grain insert and 125 grain Magnus Black Hornets that come in around 510 grains this year and hope my shoulder is feeling good enough to hunt with in the next 2 months. Otherwise I'll be using my crossbow.

28" carbon to carbon GT Hunter XT .340 spine shafts with 100gr. Ethics Inserts and 125gr. Magnus Black Hornet(s) 2 blade or 125gr. Magnus Stinger Buzzcuts. Still not certain on the fletching, I typically use Bohning Blazers but I may be going to Gateway 2" Rayzr feathers. Total arrow weight with the blazers is 509grains, about 20% foc.

Last season and this one I’m running the black eagle rampage 250s cut to 31 with the stock half out and 125 grain magnus black hornets and ser razors. I am trying to stick with fixed blade cut on contact heads but am tempted to try some sevr Broadheads. My bow set up is a Mathews No Cam 30 inch draw set to 70lbs.

Gold Tip Hunter XTs 400 spine
29"
100 grain muzzy fixed

Don't think Im quite hitting 400 grains

Well you guys have brow beaten me enough on this. Took a bit of a leap yesterday.

I went with Easton Bloodline 330s at 29"
Added 75 gr brass insert
Capped with Magnus stinger 125s.

I think this has me around 485 total, although I dont have a scale.
About 100 grains more than my previous setup and all up front.

I can definitely tell a difference in flight.

Carbon Express Mayhem SDS 250 spine, with 150 gr Ethics brass inserts behind 200gr German Jagers

The hunting public’s newest podcast is all about arrow building. What are you guys shooting this year? I’ve got some Easton axis I’ve built up with homemade collars and insert weights for this year, topped off with some G5 Montec I got on the Walmart clearance rack for $7!!!!!

By my calculations I’m runnin about 21% F.O.C.

you got those shafts off camofire?? i snatched some up but havent put them to use yet. i like the new axis arrows better. 300's are 10.7 gpi instead of 11.5. i might strip off all the camo and wraps and see what they end up at

I picked them up off Lancaster a while back. Are they on campfire?

haven't seen em on there in a long time tho..cant beat 50 bucks for a dozen. The match grade ones are only a dollar more than the regular price on lancaster so I usually buy those. Great arrows for the money
