What did you do today that’s related to saddle hunting?

No crocs. what's wrong with you? no wonder your not killing big buck. Do you think you can practice in flip flops and have the same success as practicing in crocs? Sheesh no way bro.
Lol flip flops are actually Florida cowboy boots… crocs are what medical assistants wear when you get a check up down here

Wrecked my shoulder to nock tune some bare shafts. It's not so easy for me to figure out the difference betwen the bending point reaction or my inconsistent hand induced torque.
I test and mark the first bending point during the arrow build. I want to find out if this is also the bending point in the power stroke. A lot of work to do.

FINALLY, today I was able to order a Mad Rock Safeguard and 40 feet of Sterling C-IV to test a rappelling setup, even when I'm not one-sticking.

I'm sure they were available before just now...I hadn't looked for a few months. But certainly couldn't get them this past season. I had given up.

I finally got my saddle and trophyline wingman one stick together enough to try it out

I made a second top tether for a backup 2TC kit today. I used 12 feet of HTP static 9mm from EWO. For adjustment I used a Distel hitch made from 7mm accessory cord from EWO and a keychain tender. The bottom foot tether is adjustable Amsteel with a 7-inch section of air hose for the stirrup. I made a quick climb about 12 feet up just for fun. It works well.

I made this one as a backup to the first "minimalist" setup I made using Canyon C-IV and Dynema. On that one, the one on the left below, I used a Kong Slyde.

This way, I will have at least 2 full 2TC compact kits to have on hand in addition to my larger rope variation. That way if one gets wet during a hunt it can be drying out and I can use the other one.

Changed out my UP and One sticked with my LP from DanO

How are you liking the LP? Was thinking about getting one for my ewo stick. Almost bought the UP but thought it may be to bulky for me.

I like them both! The UP is not too bulky at all. I carry it on a small Kifaru E&E pack and it fits perfectly. I wanted to try the LP to lighten the load a little, but that got negated when i put the new bottom step on (4.4 lbs total…LP, new ultimate lower step, 3 step aider, and amsteel tree rope). But my whole setup is only 14 pounds on my back without water. Either choice is great!

Just got in from lunchbreak tuning my new 600 spine micro Black Eagle Instincts on my Black Hunter. They're flying mighty nice. Need to shoot them up on my UP.

A new all-time best time with 2TC this morning. Actual climb time to hunting height 4:16 minutes from the time I left the ground. Climb started at 1:40.

Well what’s the word? Is HTP worth the weight and bulk for 2tc?

I would say yes, that HTP 9mm is worth it. We aren't talking much more bulk than Canyon C-IV and that is not much more bulk than an Amsteel top tether. I like the stiffness of the HTP and the Canyon C-IV for the top tether. I helps advance the loop. Canyon C-IV on left, HTP on right.

Just weighed the sets. Canyon C-IV set with Kong Slyde 14.1 OZ, HTP 9mm with Distel hitch, 15.6 OZ.
