What did you do today that’s related to saddle hunting?

Finally put a continuous loop of dynaglide on the end of my rappel rope to use as a pull up rope. Only took me 8 months to get around to it!

Set a cam on a community scrape.

I’m starting to get really fired up!

Felt bad that I hadn't supported @DanO enough this year so I ordered some odds-n-ends. Still debating if I go out for opener next weekend or wait a few weeks for it to cool off more.

He's moving his operation to right down the street from me! I already have a list of things I'm gonna need...

Recieved some of the items I bought on the Big Flash Sale. Quality pieces. All around better than FL and Sitka IMO. Both to my door for $98 seemed like a no brainer to try out.

I hung in a tree and waited for a dinky buck to walk by so I could deflate his lungs, but no dice.

But, this was my first sit with my Ridge Runner, and I love it. I see myself springing for a RR 2.0 before next season already. And, this was the first sit on a piece of ground I got lucky and leased up that surrounds my office/shop. Saw a doe with two spotless fawns, had another deer work by as I was getting ready to start down the tree in the dark, got blown at after that by a different deer, and saw two more does in the headlamp on the walk out. I’m looking forward to killing something back here

Cleared the kill field! Small opening on the top flat with natural spring water hole and my feeder.

Climbed a tree with my Rebel Fabrication 1stick

Put some new lighted knocks on and shot some arrows

Not saddle hunting per se but got an email from my utility today. My NG pipeline carrier is raising rates by 124% and retail prices will be close to 3x last winters prices before the carrier rate increase. In short, putting cheap meat in the freezer is that much more important this year.

Scouted. One place a bust. Next place easy access, good to better trails and seen 2. Another short climb with the x-wing and aider, I'm liking it. Moved a camera

Today, I drove national forest roads in a new area for hours and noted what roads are gated and which aren't, areas where it seems there is likely to be more pressure, and places I want to put boots on the ground to look. It was raining and sort of a pre-scouting mission late in the game. So, I barely got out of the truck. Onx or other apps work great driving too by marking your driving track, closed gates, etc.
