What did you do today?

Climbed a tree with my Aero Evolution and gave the dog a bath. A shower for me with the hose too.

Pre-gaming for this weekend. Haven't been able to get out recently to hang cams, but have been aero-scouting via OnX and other maps. Hoping to find some good areas this season to match the new-to-me saddle setup.

Sighted in this bad boy

CZ 512 .22wmr. Semi auto, 5 round mag. 3x9-40 Vortex Copperheqd scope. 40 grain Winchester FMJs. Zeroed at 25 and 100 yards, 1.5" high at 50. Coke can and clay pigeon accurate at 100 yards.

Should be a handy little woods bumming gun for areas where squirrels and hogs are on the menu.

I love mine. Great little guns. I like CZ rifles

My 452 is an absolute doll of a gun. Best decision I ever made was trading a 700 7mm mag that shot patterns instead of groups for it. Eley subsonic out of that thing have uncanny accuracy. The 512 wasn't quite as accurate last night, but then again I didn't run but one type of ammo through it. It was getting 2" groups at 100 yards though. A trigger job might tighten it up some. Or a different bullet. I just sighted it in with the heaviest fmj I could find to give me more penetration on hogs and less explosion on squirrels

I sold my 452 American 22lr which I loved because I wanted a newer 455 22lr then I sold the 455 for something else and now I only have the 512 22 mag. Lol.
I been thinking of selling my bull barrel savage Mkii and buying another 452 if I could find one.
Bull barrels and squirrels sux! Lol

I found my self in the scariest situation of my life today and of course I left my CCW pistol at home.......

I had to go grocery shopping since my wife was home with a week old baby! Costco and the grocery store are terrifying on a normal day!
Not much need for it in the woods here,,, but never go to the store w/o one and extra mag.

They're heavy for sure. I was surprised by how light and handy the 512 was. I guess the aluminum upper and poly lower make it lighter than it looks.

My first .22wmr was a mkii. For reasons I can't understand, it shot like hot garbage. Kinda turned me off on the cartridge until I read Glenn Solomon's book and all his GON forum posts about hog hunting with it. Glad I gave it a second go. Looking forward to cutting loose on the swamp with it.

Oh lord. Shoot the barrel in like a big boy. fancy beer drinking, living in a house on the river, hickory creek shooting, big money man Convince someone else you ain’t living Large!! Lol

I do have a stash of 30 grain v-max I could burn through. Don't imagine it'd be great for hunting.

Started with a bow practice at 730am, then 3mile run at 8am. Hit work from 9 til 3. Then hit the skatepark for some bmx from 4-6. After that hit the weights for a sweat session. from 7-830pm. Then deer meat tacos to cap the night! Lift RUN Shoot EAT!
