What did you do today?

Ran up and back, walked a bit, to the post office to mail my antlerless deer permit application.
 
Painted my hawk sticks......surprised how well they turned out for how simple it was to do.

My license just came today, but I have no stamps. Ordered a book of stamps and duck stamps from USPS a week ago. At least I think I did. I have a PayPal charge authorization, but no confirmation email or anything from USPS. Maybe I forgot to hit a button?

Kinda wish there was an online option for doe tags... Those pink envelopes always seem flimsy. The "adhesive" on them might as well not exist.

Today was the first day they are accepting doe applications. In the distant past, my dad and I had them returned a time or two because they got delivered too early. By the time we sent them back all the licenses were gone. I am applying in 5C now. They have 70,000 licenses there so I should not get shut out.

I moved to PA 4 years ago from Virginia. I cuss the state every year when it comes to buying a license in July to put in a lottery for doe tags....with that said, I mailed mine out Saturday.
 
Yeah I know a lot of people try to time their mailing before the official date to get them into the county treasurer on the day they start taking them. 2B tags practically never sell out, and a couple of other places around here take some time before they disappear. We'll see what happens.

Two years ago I waited too long and they sold all 70,000 in 5C in the second round when a person could get an unlimited amount. I will send away for 2 more in the second round.

I remember just going to the county courthouse to get 5C tags.

I just got my PA license yesterday evening. Going to fill out my doe request for 3D with 5C as second choice. 3D fills up pretty fast. Will be mailing out before the 4PM pickup today.

I try to get 3D and 5C, just to be able to have greater area to hunt. I am at the northern end of 5C and have easy access to public in 3D and also some in 5C.

I’ve been rolling the thought around about trying my hand at making one too. How long did it take you to do that one?
