What do you want to know about the Tactisaddle?

What is the bridge material and why is it knotted instead of sewn? If the rest of the saddle stitches are up to snuff, why not the bridge?

The rump strap works the same way I get my mantis into the right position, but the waist part doesn't move. I agree most of the weight is on the bottom strap, but I don't think there is an insignificant amount of weight on the fabric. So yes, how comfortable is it really?

This answers some questions, including whether the sewing is done in the garage.

I also see that he has incorporated adjusters like the Kestrel and Mantis have.

I think I saw the original post another member made for this and actually thought it was a joke. Being able to move the strap makes sense as far as hip pinch but like most others I'm concerned about the thong strap riding up the middle of my butt giving me a wedgie. Sorry not but I'm not like you. I'm not wearing a thong not because I'm too manly, but because it looks damn uncomfortable. I'm interested to see what you say about comfort. And if he'll allow you to I would like to see if it is still as functional if you remove the thong piece from the saddle. I mean it's essentially an Anderson with only one strap around your back and one underneath your butt with the addition of a waist belt, leg straps, and a thong. Definitely looks like it has some potential.

I understood the hate on the video but not the actual product. My personal experience with the mantis leads me to believe this is no more uncomfortable than that. They're extremely similar and honestly, I think this would be more comfortable.

It appears the rump strap is also the leg straps. I would imagine that as long as you don’t crank on the leg straps it wouldn’t give you a wedgie. Let the weight rest on the main 2” strap instead.

I be interested to see how that transitions from standing to sitting. Do you need to make any adjustments to the leg/rump straps? And as mentioned, is the rump strap actually adding anything to the comfort?

I grabbed some 2” webbing I have, threw a water knot on it and tested out the feel. I was impressed, but only sat for about 20 min and I’m primarily a leaner. I immediately saw the benefit of it not having anything that could cause hip pinch. I feel like the main factory saddles all work best when the “belt” is significantly lower than your actual waist, seemingly compounding pressure on your hips bc it runs right across it.

The other interesting insight is that just being essentially a loop of webbing, you can equalize pressure on the bottom and top straps without extra adjusters.

Long sit comfort report would be great obviously. The DIY guy in me wants to make a copy of this, but maybe add another strap to the bottom like half of the wraptor.

This is my initial thought as well. Hard to tell without sitting in one.

The leg straps are the "floss". The rump strap has a piece of webbing sewn on back side of it forming a loop that captures both leg straps - there they turn into the floss. It seems to be the key to the thing working as advertised.

We will see. I honestly have no clue what to expect. I see potential, but I understand the scepticism too.

At least the product is getting legitimately evaluated and being given a fair shake.

That little feller is hanging back'ards in his saddle. @Vtbow, ain't that how you hang in a sneaky sack? Facing sway from the tree?
sure is...and believe it or not, the "tactisaddle" looks a bit like the sneaky sak...

Once you were set up and your weight set on the 2'' butt strap you could unhook the leg straps but if you wanted to adjust the 2'' butt strap i would think you'd have to hook them back up or have to teach down and pull the slack out of the leg straps after you adjust the butt strap. Depends on how easily the leg straps ''floss'' through the butt strap i guess. Address the flossing abilities of the butt strap in the video
