What hunting item do you regret buying most?

The HSS gear hoist. I bought like 4 of these things thinking they were the best thing since sliced bread and I could pull up all my crap and not have to strap it to myself on the way up. They actually work fine physically, the problem for me is the ribbon. Blows and drifts in the slightest breeze and tangles on EVERYTHING and grabs EVERY SINGLE small twig on a tree. Then forget getting it back free without having to climb back down or shaking the heck out of whatever it’s tangled on. Never again.

Hawk Crawler Deer Cart. Great cart, but heavy as hell, and I have never once thought about dragging it into the woods. Bought it around when I was getting mobile, so that plays a big part in it.

I'm just up the road in Crossville, TN. Give me a shout out and I'll lend you a hand with the big one.

Earth scent wafers from hunters specialties. Thought I could fool a deers nose if I smelled like dirt. I was soooooooo wrong!

UA clothing. freeze ya to death, and scents

Is it the all polyester? I like it for early season. I have a dense acrylic/wool blend UA jacket that's actually really nice and warm, but I haven't seen a wool jacket from them in years.

Yea that stuff really magnifies or fuels body odor especially the stuff made for warm weather, or such has been my experience. A lot of the knockoff stuff does much better.

Midway usa's store brand is so close to UA, that I can't believe they haven't been sued. Oh, and you can buy Midway pants for like $20 during the summer (I think it might be better made than UA also).

I have the UA gunpowder jacket and pants with the infrared lining and it’s great, I only get to wear it once or twice a year here, and usually have to come out of it at some point or risk sweating it up. But I don’t know if they make it anymore, and it was like $500 for the set. So I paid a lot for something I rarely get to use, but when I need it I’m glad I have it.

The stuff I have is 100% polyester dunno maybe I am just a wuss. What do you have?
If it's the same stuff you buy on line now. Mines different. Your not a wuss. Nothing sounds warm about 100% polyester. Mine is fleece like. I don't see it on there web site any more.

I have the grit jacket and love it! But the polyester hoodie is definitely for layering only. I've actually had pretty good luck with UA gear and my field pants are going on year 6

Only UA stuff I have is a their cold gear long sleeve shirt. Spandex like kinda thing. Bought it in 03 to umpire spring softball as we are usually good for at least one snow each season. Especially when I was farther north in the state
