What's going on at AeroHunter?

Ok everyone I talked directly to Sophie the owner and she is retiring from the business after 38 years. She is closing all operations saddles and arborists. She also said the there weren't any planes on selling the business. She thank me for contacting her directly and getting the true information. I thanked her for making great saddles over the years and wished her a happy retirement. That's the information right from the person who knows.

What about the designs man! The designs!

Sophie called me back yesterday and I had a great conversation with her. She apologized for not getting back to me right away. I didn’t realize she was the owner of New tribe and AeroHunter! She said she can’t believe how devastated people are that they are closing. She said she never realized that but her intentions are genuine and she is now in her early 70’s started and ran the business for 38 years and wants to spend more time with her grandchildren. She said she loves climbing trees and it’s the reason she started the business. She did say they will have gear for sale becoming available soon at close out pricing to give back to all of her supporters. Nice lady, I wish her the best.

She told me the same thing about the close out sale but I didn't want to say anything untill it was on their web site.

You did ask her to post it here first before it went out on all social channels, right???

I said I would let the SH.com gang know what I know but I haven't disclosed everything she told me. HEHEHEHEHEHEHE!!! (evil laugh!!) Seriously, though, it sounds like there are many other facets of the business closure going on, one of which is the sale of leftover inventory. I can't imagine managing that process. Actually, It would probably be kind of fun managing that process.

Your a saddle hunter. The inventory would go in a tub in the garage.

Gave the revo a test run. I didn't spend a ton of time in it yet. But I would compare it to a two panel without the leg movement restriction. I think I am gonna enjoy this saddle once I get alittle more time with it. It is actually pretty nice to walk with on. Just tighten the adjustment straps down and it doesn't flop around. I am not totally sold on the super short bridge yet. That is a easy fix though.

Sorry @Fl Canopy Stalker looks like I will be keeping this one.

I can’t decide whether to be happy for you or sad for me
Enjoy it though, it’s the last of a dying breed

I will take a latitude classic over the kite any day of the week.

Kite and the kestrel were great for their time and they owned the market but there has been substantial improvements with the influx of companies making saddles now. Saddles being made by people that hunt. The designer at aerohunter didn’t even hunt…lol
Saddles are for hanging in a tree. You don't need to be a hunter to build a saddle. Just need to listen to what they need. Which some don't. lol

AH Shrike and Merlin now on closeout, along with all of their other offerings.

Iunno, on the fence about the Merlin. Doesn't really seem like an upgrade from my Kestrel.

I have a Merlin and LOVE it. I actually prefer
It to the kestral flex. The pleat stays closed better feels less like wearing a diaper when walking.
