I agree that the biggest area with room for improvement is climbing methods. As stated above, a lwhc with a predator style post would be awesome.

I hunt with a couple guys that use summit climbers. When we all gear up and I have a kite and a lwhc they look at me like "are you hunting on the ground" haha

My biggest gripe is with my winter layering system. My layers are by far the bulkiest part of my system.
I recently picked up 2 sets of the new rocky venator camo from @Anobody. The packable jacket and coveralls are very lightweight and very warm. When you first pick it up you wouldn't think that it would be warm because it feels thin but the insulation they use is called primaloft and they are very warm! Check em out on rockys website, they are very budget friendly.

Or prototype tester for an unnamed brand....
And that’s what scares the heck out of me. Just the thought of me and @DaveT1963 agreeing on the best saddle made me throw up in my mouth a little bit. Actually I’m just picking at Dave because @huck72412 hasn’t been around much lately.

I'd love to see a padded belt like the Petzl Sequoia that would be fairly form-fitting. I know that would require a larger investment in the materials (custom belt foam and sewing) Considerations would need to be made for larger clothes and layering. I should probably patent it, but I think a system that would have an internal harness (above outer layers) that allows for the seat part of the saddle to be put on over outer layers and connect into the inner system for safety. It would also be nice to have a torso option so that pants could be changed in the tree.

in my opinion, and this is only my first year saddle hunting but my 18th year hunting in general, I think they should start building accessories that help you attach your climbing sticks to the platforms. This idea of coiling your sticks with bungee cord seems to be not only cumbersome but inefficient and often times loud.

you know those devices that you can put on your wall that help your broom or your shovel hang securely and neatly? Something like that would be perfect and it would accommodate a lot of different types of sticks.

Maybe I’ll do a redneck mod for attaching sticks to platforms. I’m not really a DIY guy, but what the hell it’ll be fun to try.

I’m hoping for a small convertible climbing platform to use like LWHC or Tree Lounger. The saddle companies should be able to make something that climbs safely, then converts to a solid platform, packs small and weighs under 5#. I’d buy that.
