I really like the Pursuit. I have the Gen 1 but don't experience the flex others seem to have but I am planning on getting another one GEN II. This with with four Gen III Tethrd One Sticks and I'm going to be running a superlight setup.
I like mine a lot too. @Horn kinda blew my mind with the using 2 on the same strap at the meetup. I’m fairly certain I’m gonna try that this upcoming season.

I got plenty of ideas for new platforms but I can't share them cause then I can't make a million dollars off of all u suckas

Patents flying this way and that.... cease and desist orders....unholy alliances and backdoor dealings ....

U can keep all that mess

The ridged post with a couple V shaped things and a strap is getting pretty played out.

Cast aluminum platforms with a post and cam down has hit the wall.

There's nothing left there except changing the shape and size to squeeze out a few bucks.

I’d like to see some innovation to create a hybrid stand that does not use cables. The purpose would be to free up foot/leg room for seamless saddle use. The battle on the No cable design would be between structural integrity and weight but I believe a solution is out there. The next thing would be a design that mitigates kick out on said hybrid stand. I think this could help solidify the hybrid as a do it all platform.

Those new Hype nesting climbing sticks say their strap design eliminates kick out. At least someone tried something different to address that problem, and if it really works maybe something that can be improved on more

I think platform design is gonna plateau for a decade or so. Sure someone might find a way to make em a little lighter or grippier but I can't see anything truly revolutionary. At the end of the day, a platform is just a surface to put your feet on.

Not to get off topic, but I would really like to see some saddle innovation. For example, a saddle that let's you face away from the tree while sitting. Get the bridge behind you so you can sit in the same position you would in a traditional treestand.

I want to be able to sit in my saddle with my back tight to the tree sometimes to blend in with the tree a little better. Yeah, it's nice to hide behind the tree but deer don't always come from the direction you expect them to.

I also used to like resting my gun or bow sideways on my lap while I sat back in my treestand days. You didn't have to make very much movement for a stromg or weak side shot, even while sitting, just raise your weapon, square up, aim and shoot. You could do the same thing but in the comfort of a saddle if you could find a way to get the bridge behind you. Or better yet, have a 360-degree bridge, somehow.

If it ain’t a Marty McFly Hoberboard then I don’t want it. It solves all the problems we face, walking in, climbing, platform, etc. the only problem comes when trying to cross creeks, rivers and swamps. IMG_4438.jpeg

Hybrid is using a small treestand as a saddle platform. LWCG .5 would be an example. Maximizing that concept hasnt really even been scratched yet.

I guess that begs the question: "when does a trees tand become a platform and when does a platform become a tree stand?"

For example, the TL mission weighs > 5 lbs. Several small lock-ons are now knocking on the 6lb. door (maybe less?). The Mission is excessively heavy, even for its size. If a mission-sized platform also had a minimalistic "seat" of some sort, would that fit your definition of a hybrid?
