Who would you rather hunt with?? Infalt or Eberhart? Just curious!

Guys thanks for your responses. I was just curious. I figured it would see who hunts which style. I like the different inputs. I know there are many different hunters and friends that some would rather hunt with more than anyone else but these two guys just seem to be at opposite ends of the spectrum, yet both are very opinionated and successful. I just find myself after all the years, hard not to play the wind, no matter how much scent control I do. Not saying it doesn’t help, just think it’s not full proof enough not to play the wind!! Good luck to all this hunting season!!!!!

Infalt would be my choice. Obviously Eberhart is a killer and has the wall o bone to prove it but I don’t care for the fact that he feels obligated to tell us how many book bucks he has killed on every video. Also, he seems long winded. Every video of his is an hour+ long and just seems to me to ramble on. I guess some of his message gets lost with me.

As for Dan, I agree with others that his explanations are often wishy washy. Fact of the matter, that is reality. Nothing is certain, nothing is black and white, nothing is more important than learning from every experience and applying Those learnings to the situation you are in on a given day. Like Dan, I am more in it for the journey than the actual kill. I know in his younger days, Dan was just a flat out killer but he seems to be more about loving the cat and mouse game now.

I'd hunt with either. Their both consistent big buck killers who have an exceptional proven knowledge of how to locate and kill good bucks. I personally find my own style of hunting, developed from my own experiences long before I had heard of either of these two guys, is much closer to Dan's although not nearly as effective. :tearsofjoy:

That said, I feel I could learn a lot about locating and hunting large bucks from either of these guys. Nothing says you have to go all in on either of their approach, you can simply glean and use the stuff that you feel will help you in your pursuit. Any increase in tactics knowledge is good and you can apply it as needed to your methods/situations.

Must have been about the time you approached him about selling his stands on your page and he told you no.
I love how your information is so very wrong about the whole magical deer stand denial.
lol.

John’s personality isn’t for me and Dan and I would differ some what politically. Sooo I’m having a hard time making this decision. I’d rather hunt with one of you hooligans and after we tag one, smash some beers together like we’re Stone Cold Steve Austin!
Hmm....X2 but if I had to choose (my son like to ask questions that only has 2 options these days so I'm used to it now). I don't want to sound like 'lesser of 2 weevils (evil)', but John would be my choice because Dan and I probably differ on a lot of views. Also just based on personalities, John and I would have a better teacher to student interaction. He talk, I listen. Dan seem easier going but sometimes that's not the best way to learn for some people.

Also down to hunting with any of you all. But I dont drink so I'll DD and bring my own IBC cream soda with the label removed so I can pretend and not embarrass you at camp.

I'm in.

I feel like John is more "goal" oriented and Dan places a little more on the "experience". I'd hunt with either, because I'm sure I'd learn a lot, but if I have to pick one it would be Dan Infalt as my first choice. Pretty sure I could drink beer with Dan lol.

Dan 100%

Dan does in fact sell beast sticks and tree stands but not once in his tactics videos does he say, "You have to have a Beast Stand to hunt this way". He is showing people how to find bucks in their beds, nothing less nothing more. He doesn't care if you do it in a stand, saddle, or on the ground nor does he ever mention some magical product that makes it easier. Quite the opposite, he makes it clear its an effective but difficult way to hunt that isn't for everyone and most definitely not for those looking for the easy button.

Then there is John, "you need to use a saddle, tree stands are archaic" or the classic "You need to use ScentLok. I'm not even paid to say that but I completely ignore the wind because ScentLok is so awesome".

Mind Boggling people think Eberhart isn't pushing product and isn't 100% PAID to say what he says?????
