Who would you rather hunt with?? Infalt or Eberhart? Just curious!

Well in 2017 i finally decided to attend one of the workshops these two were doing in the post season.
Because of tight finances at the time I went with Infalt for 3 straight days scouting
I was going to go with John because he in my opinion was more a tell it how it is or blunt truthful kind of guy.
I like that and i dont like a whole follow me and kill this kind of marketing ploy lol.
I learned from Dan and of course no offense to him because he is a proven killer but, I do believe John is alot better at what he does and how he explains it.
The reason why I think this is John hunts states with far less p&y numbers and in John’s prime he was not hunting 7 days a week and still killed magnums.
At the time i was looking to attend a workshop John’s price tag was too much for my budget.
So I contacted Dan and he did a one on one for 1/2 the cost.
It was a blast. Ended up Me, Dan, and Jeff Geinke and Jeff’s kid.
(Jeff was Dan’s ex right hand man.)
When I was there I learned how to tweak what I was doing and it did help get more encounters on bucks but, what Dan was saying and pushing felt just off.
I couldnt put my finger on it but it just was like a huge sales pitch.
I got pretty heavy on that beast cult but it got really crazy for awhile and it got to be almost like a cult.
Especially After the Dan and John arguments and then the whole Infalt/Daqusto thing.
My eyes started to see whats going on.
so my guy would be definitely John
John i think would walk or explain you through anything he needed to get you to understand why or how you can be more successful.
I doubt John would try to sell you stands or sticks either lol
No offense to no one. Thats my story and why I choose Johnny Carbon. Lol
And no i dont or never will hsve any scent regiment lol

John wont try to sell you stands or sticks...but he'll push scentlok in your face til you keel over. Whats the difference?
 
I’m gonna go John, and what I’m looking for is (1) how the heck do you get all these knock on door permissions, (2) how are you sifting through these for the best shot at a big one, and (3) tree selection and prep… among other things. (edited by moderator)

Dan does in fact sell beast sticks and tree stands but not once in his tactics videos does he say, "You have to have a Beast Stand to hunt this way". He is showing people how to find bucks in their beds, nothing less nothing more. He doesn't care if you do it in a stand, saddle, or on the ground nor does he ever mention some magical product that makes it easier. Quite the opposite, he makes it clear its an effective but difficult way to hunt that isn't for everyone and most definitely not for those looking for the easy button.

Then there is John, "you need to use a saddle, tree stands are archaic" or the classic "You need to use ScentLok. I'm not even paid to say that but I completely ignore the wind because ScentLok is so awesome".

Mind Boggling people think Eberhart isn't pushing product and isn't 100% PAID to say what he says?????

I’ll disagree strongly with your opinion of John. I’m not trying to argue but I will point out that he started wearing scentlok in the 90s. If he was affiliated all along he would have had his own suite 20 years ago. And then as for the ess tethrd reached out to him to design a saddle in his honor. It’s on YouTube it’s in podcasts. I’m sure he probably gets a cut of sales and I’m sure now he gets a cut from scent lok but time and time again he reiterates that he is not an advocate and he’s not sponsored in any way. Now it may be different but for decades it was the same
 
Somebody give us some stats. Who has more record book bucks. Who hunts in the more pressured state. Who's season is longer. Lots of variables to theses two men's success. To me they have a lot more in common than they do differences. They both hunt bedding, both only hunt each spot a few times a year to keep pressure down, both kill big bucks, both preach entrance and exit importance, both say big bucks are a lot different than other deer, both are proud of their accomplishments, both are teaching others, both are better than me, both talk about swamps a lot and much in common I'm sure. Differences= saddle vs treestand, wind(scent)vs no wind(scent)

he will usually try to convince you it works 100% not really buy it lol.
He pushes saddles big time to has his own ess signature saddle lol
 
Dan all day because he is the one I’d rather have a beer with.

If I could pick any mainstream hunter it would no doubt be Zach from THP.. crawling up 5yds to a monster.. yes please

I'd hands down rather hunt with @WHW than either eberhart or infalt. He's killed more whitetails than cwd.

I've had a few phone calls with Eberhart and he was much more laid back one-on-one than his public persona implied. I think I'd rather pick his brain than Infalts, but...

I'd love to take a stab at Wisconsin.
 
I'd jump on board with you rule breakers and jaw or hunt with rinella or pretty much any of the YouTubers I watch, THP crew, catman, deermeatfordinner, mountain deer, I'm a bit too into YouTube to keep going or I'd be here all day, heck I don't care who you are, if you want to hunt and are willing to show me some things (or in the very small chance I'm more experienced than you and can help out) I'm not going to say no.


Well I probably will because my schedule sucks and I have little kids but that's a tangent lol.

Oh man @Mschmeiske you just broke my heart!! But I do agree with one thing you said, I’d rather hunt with the dudes on here then either of those two.
