What's funny about this thread is that it's just the same handful of excuses that I myself gave,over and over.but read the whole thread and you will see there realy are no excuses. You eather keep trying till you figyer out what you are doing wrong.....or you dont.period.even crapy at it, and new to it.i could probably decend and walk away faster than I could rappel and walk away.decending is so fast and easy for me

Maybe more people would 2TC if it had cool gear associated with it. I think that’s part of the allure that one sticking has. You get to custom build (to an extent) your very own one stick. Us hear junkies love to piece gear together. I enjoyed making mine that’s for sure. What’s so exciting about 2 tethers lol.

I've had it happen twice.
 
Luckily both times I was reaching back down to grab my one-stick on my FIRST MOVE...

I don't really care much for the Klemheist.
 
If I remember right the first time it happened it all slipped the whole way to the stopper knot?!!! o_O

Yea I never liked the klemhiest. I think it does better on two ropes if I’m not mistaken. I will use it occasionally as an autoblock for rappel.
 
I keep getting new hitch cords to try out and I do like the Swabisch but I hate trying to tie two separate legs to a carabiner. I suck at tying knots!
The Klemheist is pretty much the same as a Swabisch but made from a continuous loop.
That's really the only reason I use one...

Once you memorize the hunters bend....you won't tie two ropes together any other way.....at least I don't anymore. :)
