I got out and did another 2TC climb this morning. I didn't time it or video it this morning since I was just going for a fun climb for the first time since my wrist healed back up. It seemed comparable. It was good to be back in the saddle again. I do plan to get all my gear together and get that sorted out and do a full-on climb where I take all my hunting gear, bow, ring of steps, all of it, and do a timed climb with a bow shot to finish it all out. That may be next week sometime. I need to get all that sorted out. It's only 60 days until the season starts!

Ole boy is just excited, let’s cut him some slack. There are plenty of other people that plug their climbing systems all over the place, cross pollinating threads. That said, trying two sticks to advance the tether is great idea that I would like to try with 2tc, so I think it’s applicable.

HOWEVER! if he is selling these push stick things then I would agree per the rules he needs a vendor badge and would need to limit his gear pushes to the vendor section.
GRC, I like your approach in this post! I agree it’s hard to contain excitement sometime when you’ve made something you’re proud of!
I can definitely think of one guy who plugs a rope climbing system video literally every single post out there, however to be fair, that guy isn’t selling his system, he’s just trying to get guys to try it, educate them based off his experiences and loves to list his perceived advantages. Asking people to look at your video, is a little different than selling products. I brought up the vendor badge on his initial post after I saw the video mentioning selling them…
I will say this, in one stick climbing, 2TC, slack is the biggest threat to safety, by using something like the push stick you can get the rope higher thus minimizing the slack potential or even eliminating it fully. MattMan is right though, once you’ve dropped a plug a couple times, people check it out. Any extra post or comments about it, is just kicking the proverbial dead horse…

It can't be me to start the thread though........more than half the vendors block me for a reason....I make fun of people selling work tools as hunting hunting gear
Block you my butt, they ought to go hunt with you a couple times just for the fun of it! If I ever make it out that way, you’re gonna have to show me how to 2TC those trees you can’t get your arms around though ;) lol Shameless plug for tailgunner though here guys, his personal saddle looks really cool, it’s super lightweight too. I asked to try one since ol Red has been plugging him. And I must admit he has some ideas that would definitely work well, if constructed properly.
Back to the thread, I showed a couple guys the 2TC concept of climbing at this outdoor expo I did last weekend. They thought it was crazy so I took them to Jerry’s videos and showed them his set ups and methods. Hopefully he gets a couple 2TC kit orders in the very near future
I couldn’t find Redbeard’s video or I would have also used that so people could see what it looks like when a squirrel runs up a tree

If I'm going up a tree this year it will be 2TC, ground hunts are possible but not overly likely. I made a few climbs this weekend on trees with real bad lean, one to trim/cut down for my in-laws and one to practice for that climb. I'm definitely not saddle or climbing shape at the moment but the motions came back easy and never felt sketchy, just harder than when I last climbed.
