Why don't yall 2TC?

Again (yet again…), you are 100% free to do as you wish and I, again that’s me, will do as I see fit.

“Rappelling spooks deer”……have you killed a deer mid 2TC climb down? I’ve killed a deer mid rappel. Even went so far as to rappel down a few extra feet for a clear shooting lane.
Gun or bow?

I have rappelled 3 times with deer in bow range(inside 25) without getting busted. Didnt try to kill one though. 2 of those times I was getting down to go fetch up a dead one anyway. New goal, shoot one on the fly. Have also one sticked up a few times with deer between 40-50 yards without getting busted. That took more effort and concentration.

Back when I was using a Treehopper drill and grade 8 bolts I was half way down when the buck showed up. I then climbed back up and he came in and offered a shot. I do plenty of practice either SRT or 2TC and am amazed how deer many times will just spectate this goof going up the tree- they must think I am an oversized squirrel.

Hey guys as of late I have been running 3/16" Amsteel soft shackles on my tethers to navigate limbs being able to eliminate carabiners. Any others using this method?

You wont catch blacktail bucks playing that game.not one sight or sound.they are not like rabbits who come right back to
the farm...they dont come back They are wild.they dont play

I'm amazed they would let you get away with that being Arkansas deer. Around here it might be possible to get away with that on a yearling spike but if there is a mature doe around and a gnat poots and she's headed to the next zip code blowing as she goes.

I’ve wanted to try this for some time but haven’t made the purchase yet. I haven’t spent enough time splicing to trust my own handy work. Did you make or buy? How has it done for you?

Got pictures of your soft shackle setups? I'm leaning towards some kind of soft shackle for next season but haven't decided what I want to make yet

It has been working great and I will attempt to post some pics. I made these after watching a video on " How not to high line" a good tutorial as how to make them.

I made some in this thread a while back, and nobody seemed to like the idea.
