I’m out with my dad this morning hoping to tag one of the hit listers that has showed back up after a 6 week absence. I’ve got day time pics of him the last 2 days.
 
Well I found deer again, if anything I think I’m learning how to read the signs a lot better. Also learned that softball size maybe a little bigger not much are a lot more awkward to sit in then I thought. 07F59424-87B0-4A8E-A4E2-4FEAE8FA9C7A.jpeg
 
My dad hasn’t got done yet but my Buddy Matt got it done yesterday evening. Stud 8pt. We had not got any pics of this guy all year. Checked a couple of cams and he appeared 2 days ago and plenty of daytime pics of him. Decided to give it a try and everything worked out. This is his first saddle buck too!

Sorry @Tjraley2 , we're gonna have to disqualify the entry due to the lack of the saddle. Unfortunately you're not the first this year and we need to be consistent in the rules enforcement. Congrats on a nice buck though.

I’ve got him cut up with the head in the yard and saddle in hand. Will a shot of the quartered deer, head, and saddle suffice? Or deer has to be whole?
 
Found a spot where a couple acorn trees still dropping a few. Had 5 does there Tuesday, but the wind shifted as they came in and I got busted. Had my recurve.

Tomorrow night, I'm going back there. The wind will be perfect with the way they came last time. Taking my compound this time....
 
Hunted this morning and seen nothing but some small bucks. Didn’t see a deer this evening. These 70 degree days suck in November!!! Leaving for NC in 2 days to hunt with my buddy for a week. Hopefully I’ll have some pics for you all soon. Good luck everyone!
 
Had a spike go right under me Saturday night while hanging in my Recon. I was bummed to see antler as I was hoping to get at least 5 points for team 1.
 
I am back from the North empty handed. As a group we saw lots of deer, and shot two bucks, but let a lot get past us. I myself drove over 1000km to see nothing more than the inside of my book... This season is turning into a real challenge.

I need a few days off of hunting to rest, clear my head, and spend some time with my family. I will be back out this coming weekend with hopes that I can get some points on the board for us.

Sorry folks, it just hasn't worked out yet...

Not empty handed. Sounds like you enjoyed fellowship and had done great experiences. I often loose touch with what this is really about. "Hunting" let's get it back and enjoy every aspect!!!
