They removed it from their website. I suppose they might make you one if you called them and requested it custom, but the only thing listed as an option at aerohunter.us is now the Kestrel.
You got me there.

I Ordered! Costly shipping though, Id say the estimates are too high for shipping.
T

Nah. Shipping is both based on weight and size of shipping carton. I sell a lot of crap on classifieds on AT and i'd say $20 sounds about right.

Dont see how it would be that much more comfortable than a SitDrag. Looks like there is only 1 adjustment but maybe that makes a big difference. I envy you guys that use this as I just can not get comfortable in my SitDrag unless I use a platform which at that point I may as well use a hang on. I am 50 years old and 235lbs which certainly doesnt help.....

80 was the cheapest rate to canada with upwards of 180 for expedited!!Not cheap at all, and not realistic. 20 would be a dream!

To your point - I find my SitDrag to be way more comfortable than the Trophyline Tree Saddle. The Kestrel and the older TL products have a lot in common when it comes to design. The Kestrel is much better built and has more thought into the engineering, but at a base level, they are pretty similar.

Hunting out of a saddle takes a lot of getting used to. It took me the better part of 2 seasons before I felt really comfortable. That may not be worth it to you unless the benefits of saddle hunting outweigh the inconvenience.

Yup. I think "comfort" is both relative to the user and an expectation which needs to be realistically set before you even consider saddle hunting.

You probably aren't going to be as comfortable as you would be sitting in a lazy boy recliner inside of your ground blind, so that idea should be scrapped before you even consider saddle hunting. Can some guys get that level of comfort? Sure, but they're probably in the minority.

I personally think my aerohunter evo is more comfortable than 90% of hang on stands out there once you dial it in. I can do 3-4 hour sits before I start getting really fidgety. But it would be the same if I was on the ground or in a hang on. I think that has more to do with the human bodies ability to be inert for long periods of time.

I'm very excited for the kestrel. I think my sit drag is actually really comfy, though I haven't put much time in it yet.

Maybe Tom and I should consider going to Port Huron. Duty may also be charged but not if we pick it up

Pay homage to the TL ! After all, had it not been for that first one you'd be stumbling around with a climber on your back.

I don't expect lazy boy comfort. Heck my LW flip top combo climber gets uncomfortable after 3 hours. Now I need to MacGyver a platform a steps. Im thinking about making diy cam lock tree paws on a buckle.

What knee pads do y'all recommend?

When I hunt a chain on stand I wear a muddy harness that weighs as much as the kestrel and more than the sit drag. Really the only weight comparison you can make is your platform vs your chain on. The lightest hang on I can be comfortable in is my millennium that weighs over 12 pounds. They do make slightly lighter stands that I can only handle about two hours. That's with me standing probably the last 30 minutes of darkness and the first 30 minutes of light then sitting for about an hour and I'm spending more than me looking at my watch than the woods. There are some older hang on stands around the 6lb mark but I've never met anyone with one that said it's comfortable. They just said it's worth it to hunt the places and way they do.
The kestrel seems to be a good bit wider taller so it should be more comfortable. The sit drag doesn't need that adjustment because the seat portion isn't as deep and it isn't as stiff. Everything is a trade off in comfort to weight.

It looks like the kestrel has a fixed bridge length
Hmmmm, you had me a little concerned there at first. I went back to look at the photos. It's just a rope so you can adjust the length by moving the knots easily enough, no? I also don't see why you couldn't modify it to be like the evo if that's what you wanted by adding another piece of rope to make it adjustable... can't remember the name of the knot, but that's all the evo had, right?

Many have a fixed bridge on the aero hunter. You can add a prussic or blakes hitch or ropeman or whatever. I have a fixed bridge on my aerohunter now but was considering a petzl ring with a ropeman 1 like Ernie Power had.
