There we go. Beautiful night in a tree. No blood. I passed a big nanny trying to shoot a cripple. No visible injury but it had no use of it's front left. Felt good to be in a tree.

Lol. I remember reading hunting magazines and watching on tv how they mapped out deer trails from bedding to feed areas and I was like huh! Never seen a deer trail longer than 10 yards until I moved out the water and palmetto country. 10 yards was all they needed to move for brows, water, and cover! Lol

Describes my place pretty well. If you do find a trail it's just as likely to be a pig.

Big boy didn't show in daylight. After dark several deer passed right under me. Couldn't tell what they were.

My platform was a decoration tonight. Live oak I found had a built in platform.

Don't want to hijack the thread, but what type of strap are you using to secure your platform?

thanks in advance.

Can you move around on that platform without making any noise?

Do you mean the tree limb? Yes. I was silent. A pine tree would probably be no bueno, but the Live Oak works great.

If you meant the LW Seat platform? Yes. I am silent.

Had a spike come crashing in to check a scrape at 8. Nothing since. Gonna give it a little longer, get lunch and go mobile at the spot I hunted last weekend with all the sign. It's the last day of our first bow season and that sign was too good to not give it one more shot.

Good luck guys. Due to a ####### wedding I'll only be mentally hunting until Sunday afternoon. If you can't tell I'm super very excited about it killing most of my weekend.
