Live from the tree!

Yearling doe. She'll eat great!

Spurs, platform, SitDrag. Never been to this spot before.

7 yard shot. Double lung pass through. Rage 2 blade. Bowtech Invasion @65 lbs. She barely made it 40 yards.

I am so hooked on hunting with spurs. I wish I had discovered them years ago.
You guys might soon convince me to try spurs, sounds faster, quieter easier than sticks. Do you think they chew up the trees much

Against the law where I hunt or I would use them to!

It would chew up a tree if you were going up and down over and over again. I am only using them for mobile hunting. When I want to hunt a tree multiple times, I'll set it up with steps. I climbed a big pine tree yesterday. If you weren't looking for it, you'd never notice it had been climbed.

Agreed. On softer thick bark trees, the marks almost disappear. On the thin barked hard trees it shows up allot more. The white oaks and hackberry I have been climbing are very obvious

Screwed up and left the boat key at the house. Too bad I didn't notice it until AFTER the 1 hour 20 minute drive to the ramp. Had to switch gears and drive another 50 minutes to a spot I could access by land. Got to the tree at sunrise and wasn't settled in for about 18 minutes after that.

I'm not too confident in this spot, but it's better than burning out a good one with late entry. The property south of me is by draw only, and won't be hunted for a few more days, so hopefully the pressure is low enough for some late morning movement.

Love seeing that thermacell. Spot looks beautiful too!

Get a kayak and you won't need a key!

Man, as soon as I can afford one! Although, I think 3 miles is the nearest spot I have to a boat access so I probably will have to pick up a little outboard motor for it. I'm not sure how far I can make it in one loaded down with a headwind.

Ended up seeing zilch. I snuck across the little property checking for sign and ended up covering almost the whole piece of property. The deer sign is just non-existent, probably due to the fact that the crop fields on the north side sat fallow this year. The west side of the place is absolutely covered in crappy hunter trash. Buck bombs, estrus drillers, peanut butter jars, buckets screwed to trees, trash can feeders.... its insane.

I covered about 3 miles of ground and only found a few prints and 1 rub to show for it. The only life I actually saw was a lone boar I jumped. I'm thinking this place might be worth skipping.

Dang, I don't miss that part of Southern living. In November you are supposed to grab your balaclava before you hunt, not your Thermacell.
