Thanks. But I liked him better when he was still alive. I'm gonna miss watching him.Congrats Tom, sweet buck!
That deer is right there with the first one I killed 28 years ago as far as trophy a trophy goes. There's no better feeling! Congratuations, that's the way to stick with it. You'll never forget the details of this hunt!
I know what you mean. If we didn't feel the lose it would just be killing. I often think after taking a deer that I was the one who made it so this wild creature won't roam the ridges, or see another sunrise or sunset. For me it's a powerful reminder of the responsibility we hold in our pursuit. It doesn't go without feeling, nor would I want it to.Thanks. But I liked him better when he was still alive. I'm gonna miss watching him.
I think I'm going soft.

Congrats.1.5 year old button buck. Don’t know what’s up with that. It was 90# dressed. Not what a southern fawn would be. Thought it was a doe. Shot him at 8 yards early in the morning. Made 3 leaps then looked back at the arrow in the ground. I though it missed. Nocked another arrow and was gonna shoot again then seen those back legs get stiff. Down right there. Never knew it was shot.
