Which then takes off the finish. It needs to be done from the get-go. 30% more than the already outrageous going-rate is nothing.
From some of the mods I’ve seen people do. If the worst I do is sand off a finish I think I’ll be ok. If u find the it worth the extra money who am I to argue. We can agree to disagree

Hard to argue the written word. Always pays to hear both sides of stories

Most interesting part of that article is reading about the misinformation surrounding cast platforms. Pretty funny that time has done nothing but 10x that issue, with social media.

These guys flipping out about flex on machined aluminum crack me up. Assuming good base material, the fatigue life of these components will likely outlast hunting as a sport. Yet here the manufacturers (still) are, battling the nay sayers.

These work really good on stands and packs. You can hook back into them anywhere. Just wish they would have them in stock again sometime.

These worked great for me last year, the metal hooks are coated so it helps eliminate metal on metal .6A4CE970-C57E-4F52-A21E-4647DB28C170.png

I sit here looking at my beast stand, and start to wonder if I'll even use it this year. This stand plus 4 minis I'm looking at close to 15lbs? Or I can use my 2lb pack, 4 one sticks, and cruzr saddle weighing what feels like almost nothing for the walk in...

I cant sit still in a saddle. My cruzer, back band, and a band band around my knees with a pad on the tree is the only way to be even remotely still.

Eff that. I gave it an honest try. Latitude was no better. Guess I'm a stand guy.

I got both setups will probably use them equally. Just depends where I am going and what I feel like that day. With the xbow I will probably lean towards saddle and with the compound probably more towards the stand. I like being able to rest my elbow on the bridge to steady my shot.

No platform?

You should go with an M7.
