Beast Stand

Well… my beast stand comes Tuesday. I am really looking forward to it.

LWCG has set the bar quite high.

The beast is going to need to be something pretty special to unseat this setup. Just saying…lol

Cute.. I already got banned from one sight for being contrary My observations is people are buying a 650 stand to mod it into a lwcg No one is modifying a lwcg into a Besst stand.,

May not be my preferred method either but half the deer or at least a 1/3 of the deer and head is coming out with me on the beast stand on my way back to the truck to grab my F1 mainframe. If you are a 1/4 mile from the truck not a huge deal to walk back and get pack. But if you are 3 miles deep part of the deer is going with me so I only have to make one more trip.
In this application sure take a load with u to get the proper tool for the job. But there is also a big difference in deer vs elk as previously discussed in this thread.

The lwcg could be a great stand but their attention to detail and releasing products before they are finished sucks and is why I won't give them any more money. Paying 500 for a stand that cuts straps is unacceptable. For gods sake they could spend a few more dollar s and throw them in a vibratory deburrer. It isn't rocket science.

So for smooth edges you gave an additional 250$ ? I can use fine grit sandpaper and a few mins. Just like we did on the sandcast many years ago

If the beast stand sucks I will will be breaking out the dremel and polishing this bamf.

Whatever what I spend my money on is not your concern. Different strokes for different folks.
Lwcg is 500 for normal price not 400.

If the threaded stick shelf is strong then yea I’d say it’s overkill if it’s flimsy then bungees might help a little but I’d prob come up with a more static support system

Negative I found no use for bungees on my lwcg. Setup both minis and doubles are secured right with just cam strap from stand

So use the cam strap on the beast. You're grasping at straws, as do most daquisto boot kickers. Neither stand is perfect, but splitting hairs over 150 bucks is comical. LWCG was the most expensive stands on the market for two years, and took their fair share of bashing. Let the beast stand have its 15 mins of fame.

And for the record, I'll pay captain earlobes an extra 150 for smoth edges. It too me WAY too long to debur with a dremel. I'm not just doing the strap contact points, the entire underside of the platform needed to be done to keep my clothes for turning to shreds. Deburring is one of the first things on any drawing, not sure why a 500 dollar stand couldn't afford it.

LWCG just like THETRD takes someone else’s idea and bring them to market because they have the resources to do so is theft in my redneck world...will never own either because of it...same goes for hawk and bullman...

This is inappropriate. The mods try to keep this site as friendly and peaceful as possible and comments like this are unnecessary.

Do people forget Andre started this mobile
Market and a lot of the most popular designs . Cody showed an article from the 90s where Andre wanted to use water jet but it was to costly for the time.

Your are correct if smooth edges is worth the extra money then fire away. For me that buys a lot fine grit.

Which then takes off the finish. It needs to be done from the get-go. 30% more than the already outrageous going-rate is nothing.

I’d have to argue for my size and style of hunting the .5 is 99%. Sadly lwcg biggest black eye for me was the bow holder. I’ve said that before and I’ll say it aging they put no effort into that. Other than that as a system with there sticks and profile nothing comes close. But I did have to spend 19$ a third hand holder and all I could do is laugh at that and say to myself…. 400 dollar stand … and a 19$ bow holder….

Show me the article or it’s fake news (bad orange man voice)

Thats a bunch of BS spewed by Dan.

This is Dans first stand. Andrae has been making stands for how long? Dan use to work for Andrae. Dan learned everything he knows about treestands from Andrae.

Stealing the idea to machine a treestand? Andrea did that 20+ years ago. He even mentioned it in an arrow world interview many years ago.
