Earlier In this thread there was talk about different aider options s for the Skeletors - I came up with a design for a retractable aider that I really like - stacks well too! Let me know what you think! (Click on the pic to see the how to diy video)

Definitely a neat concept.

I don't have experience with Amsteel except for a bridge. Looks like when you run it through the holes they'll be a lot of pressure riding on the bottom edge of the holes. Is Amsteel such that it's not a concern?

The keeper idea is smart. Seeing the front and back holes align on the ribs of the sticks, such that you can run bolts through them, offers a lot of opportunity for diy.

Thanks for watching! Regarding the amsteel pressure points, I don’t think that’ll be an issue since they’re not especially rigid edges, but time will tell. I figured I’m safe because a lot of the designs out there are built to run through a hole on the step with partt of the amsteel on the step itself (where your boots go). I figure if it can withstand that type of abuse, slowly loading pressure at those holes shouldn’t be an issue. Again want to point out that I’m not an expert on this, but it seems very strong.

I think they will be fine. I’d just advise you check for wear on a regular basis. Swap them out when they get to be questionable.

2d generation platform had some with the hole at the bottom not centered which caused cracks to appear near the hole. Mine is off centered that way. I've used it for 2 years and had no problems, I just check it periodically.

Gen 1 the wings on the back of the platform were cracking. Gen 2 had the holes drilled off center. I had both gen 1 and 2 . They replace my gen 1 got the gen 2 with the hole off center it never gave me a problem either . Not all gen 2 had holes drilled off center.

I just recived and oppened up my shipment of skeletors today and they have the original standofs on them...I will bevel them and most likley use them till I have an issue.

I talked with Tethrd today and was told that they were still the same standoffs on sticks being shipped. If you should bend one they will ship new ones .

Lots of design issues with these sticks so far. I'm still waiting for a reply to my last message about replacement standoffs, having said their first response was unacceptable (that they will replace them only if they bend/break).

I'm on the verge of regretting spending any money on Skeletors.

I think they’re shipping them all out right now. Got them in an unexpected package yesterday and I picked up my sticks on Black Friday.

What do you consider a lot of design flaws? The bottom standoffs will be replaced if bent but that has not been a big issue. If seated right I don't see a problem and I'm not a small guy. The 4 bolts being replace is a simple thing and as far as I know no one has had any issues with the old bolts.

I got a new set of bolts in the the mail over the weekend. I cannot believe these sticks left the factory with the bolt they used. The original bolt was only holding the the block by .171". I don't know what engineer decided this was acceptable. The new bolts are 1/8" longer than the original and are holding by a little over 1/4" of an inch now and have what looks like small about of blue locking paste. No reason they couldn't have just through bolted the Dynaloc. The hexes in the button heads are loose as crap on the hex wrench provided also.
