What did you do today that’s related to saddle hunting?

I went saddling this afternoon. I shot a nice sow but wasn't able to find her....my friend and I both would have bet money that was a quick killing shot. We followed blood for 300yds but she must have crossed the creek and the trail didn't end at a dead pig....I suck

Do you hunt pigs for food, fun or pest eradication, or all three?

Bright red coated arrow and at times the blood trail was heavy then thin out and get heavier again. Mostly straight blood with some sections had bubble blood...all the vegetation was wet from a light rain so it was runny blood....we both think she crosses a deep creek....I didn't really wanna wade a waist deep or deeper creek. I had a great night and no sweat off my sac on a unrecovered stinky pig. I obviously really really wanted to find her and we put in the work to find it....better luck next time

I rigged up the phone with a gear tie off a branch, arms length above my head and on the opposite side of the tree of the side I shot the arrow so it looks funny compared to what I watched directly inline of the arrow path....inch or 2 higher arrow impact definetly probably been better

One less makin babies and tearin the place up. Great job recovered or not. Looks like it may have been quartered too just a bit and that may be a contributing factor with the forward vitals. Maybe a single lung or just barely clipped the offside. Cant ever tell with those things though. I have hit a couple almost exactly like that and didnt recover and have hit some way worse that didnt go hardly anywhere and gave up.

Did some one stick practicing this evening….trying to climb as quietly as possible.
I’m really liking this one stick stuff.

They very tuff.... that's 4 shore
Do you use a Thermacell? I've got some pigs I need to get in to in a couple weeks, but they're right off a swamp/creek. I usually avoid deer hunting that area unless it's windy or late season, but pigs are there now. Bought a Thermacell last week, haven't tried it yet. I'm not sure I could sit still long enough to see anything this time of year if it's not effective.

Don't worry....I promise u they work.
Surprisingly that afternoon I never needed it...I had it on standby but never fired it up.

Off season hog hunts and archery season can be brutal. ThermaCELL, permethrin, long sleeves, mesh head net, and light gloves.

My buddy had a thing last year he said he bought on Amazon...it was a fine mosquito net "jacket"....he said it worked good. I don't know a brand or whatever...he said he looked up bug suit or something along those lines
