also,went to pull a camera I’ve had out for nine months at chest height. Someone broke the mount, wiped the card, and turned it off. I’ve been hunting this park for three years without issue. Yes I know I didn’t put a lock on the door, which was my mistake, I got complacent but the many people I’ve had just waving at my camera and being respectful here even when I come across them in the woods.

the only reason I had it so low is because I often take my 2.5 year old hiking through here and swapping cards without having to set up a stick with him is a must. Unfortunately it looks like that activity with him has to come to an end. Back to hanging them 12 ft up.

Go to Spy High Mounts web page andd check them out. You can hang cameras up in the tree without climbing. I run about 10 cameras and the system works great.

Well, it was actually yesterday. Stopped by EWO in Lapeer MI and picked up a one stick from DanO. Also a 3 step U!timaider. Spoke with the gentle giant for quite awhile. My second stop within a week. Last time I picked up a rappel kit. Got some fun coming my way!

That used to be a legit approach. Then one evening in the off season after a couple cold ones I decided to belly crawl through the grass to see how close I could get to a lone doe. I got to 30 yards, but I’ve not seen a deer within 200 yards of the deck during daylight hours since.
