    I used the tree attachment system from JRB Tree Climbing channel on mine last year. It worked very well

    Non-mechanical SRT self tending hitch at bridge connection?

    I was using the WLR hitch and Jon’s Garda hitch for a foot loop. Last year I started using the longhorn hitch and it works well.

    How would you climb this Grand Old Lady?

    Sounds like you are moving in the right direction. For your feet I have been using the JRB Garda hitch for several years works great and is a good way to back up your climb. I used a longer strap to separate the stirrup not a platform but works for me.

    Why you should consider learning how to rappel

    66 last season. I have used a figure 8 since 1974, Too old to change, but I do use a friction hitch to climb and back up the repel.

    Rappel rope questions

    I use 40’ of Oplux with a figure 8 and WLR hitch for backup. 75 ‘ of res tech for JRB climb with figure 8 both ropes work well

    You could change your loop and make it into a bull hitch.

    Lessons Learned 2022

    Used a Dryad Drey this year. Most comfortable saddle I have used. Rope climbing takes a little practice. I also need to do a little more trimming in the off season.

    Ever used string trackers?

    Shot a couple of deer with one in the 90’s worked well. It worked great as a throw line for a dangerous tree.

    1899 feather weight takedown in 250-3000. Have always liked the 99 Savage.

    CGM Foot Loops are Amazing!

    Check out John from his JRB channel. The Garda foot video shows how to make a double foot loop Garda hitch. I used it last season works great.

    2 right now. Anderson tree sling I’ve had for 30 years, modified bridge. SRT or sticks. Mantis for JRB. Thinking of trying a Driad drey.

    Oplux for SRT and repel, resh tech for JRB climb.

    Glove, tab, fingers, release?

    I have tried all kinds of finger releases for over 50 years. Black widow is good, but the best I have found is Yost.
