    I would just leave them flat. The ones I made out of Delrin, which is very slick, only slide a little bit when “setting@ the ring of steps with a boat buckle. If flat works with delrin I would think it would work with any other material.

    They are working great. What I did was just trace the profile of an ameristep in Photoshop. Then I adjusted it to where the hole for the strap was 1/8” wide and 1.25” long.     Ok, tried to dye the Delrin with black RIT dye. That didn’t work very well but at least the steps are no longer bright white. Added an OCM buckle with 5 steps that gets them tight enough for them to not move on the tree. These pack down very well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
