Making an adjustable AmSteel Blue bridge

You will need a fid, there's a lot of kits but I just use a sawed off crochet needles and a wire hanger for like $5

Lineman's rope and tree tether rope questions.

I have 2 different 9 mm ropes that I use for tether and lineman's belt, they are both quite varied in their stiffness. I think my LB is the Sterling HTP static 9 mm and had good stiffness. But to each their own, everyone had different preferences

    Boot Blankets for Saddle?

I wear arctic shield boot covers. I also switched from an OOAL ridge runner to a TL mission platform midway through last year. I will say that it was easier putting them on with a larger platform.

Lineman's rope and tree tether rope questions.

You guys are going to want to ditch that 11 mm line by the end of the season. There's plenty of 8 and 9 mm ropes that have great ratings for safety and are so much lighter and store easier. Also, I would never buy life support equipment from Amazon. But I have no concerns buying from @DanO at EWO

    Platforms and COLD FEET

I second the arctic shields. They wrok great for me and now I don't have to walk in with insulated boots anymore, getting my feet sweaty. Getting them on in a saddle is a little more tricky than a tree stand but it's totally doable and gets easier with practice.

Someones Getting closer.the cloud from Arsenal

I like how this sounds. Camo in year 2, contoured pockets in year 3. Now that saddle has me reaching for my wallet

Someones Getting closer.the cloud from Arsenal

I'll wait till year 3 to get the saddle with all the "upgrades" that they had to hold back off from releasing with the initial launch. (Not a knock on arsenal, literally all outdoor companies do this)

    Hero clip for gear strap

Someones Getting closer.the cloud from Arsenal

I'm really interested in this saddle, a lot of features really peak my interest. I really like the integrated pockets but can't understand the color choice. Would've preferred camo

About to Jump in feet first but need some help

I think you're going to be much happier with the phantom over a menace. I still use sticks (novix) and have never felt the urge to one stick and rappel. I think it's best/ safest to start without that. I also do not recommend a rope man on your tether, friction hitches are easier and in spec.

    Getting sticks up the tree

This is the way. Kydex J- clips from EWO and tie a simple paracord loop on your stick. I only carry 3 sticks if I need 4 sticks I attach the first, hook on 2, and drape the 4th's rope over the first stick and pull it up to attach it as my 2nd (I don't find I need 4 sticks very often)

Help me figure out which sticks to get

I have 20" cable loops and if I stretch it between steps I can set my platform around 18-20'. I don't hunt very high though, so if I'm over 15 foot, I'm usually pretty concealed where I hunt.

Help me figure out which sticks to get

Definitely a good call over some of the hawk suggestions. Their quality isn't something I trust anymore. I had a set and they sit in my garage now. I've been using the novix minis the past 2 seasons and really like them. I did attach a cable aider from EWO and it's been a lot faster getting up...

    Offseason gear mods

Are you planning on making a set or buying them? I'm needing to do the same thing to my novix, switching out my rope mod.

    Best Daisy Chain?

Now that's a good idea. I've already made an amsteel adjustable bridge and a few continuous loop. I'm not opposed to making my own, but I really need to get something with weight because a few trees I hunt are larger at the bases.

    Best Daisy Chain?

Who makes the best daisy chain for stick attachments? I'm looking for some with the elastic band at the end, but also with a ball at the end to help with throwing it around the tree.

Camofire MR sale right now. Pop28 $197!!!

Yeah, thanks to this thread I couldn't resist any longer. I had good self control last time they were up on camofire, but I pulled the trigger on a large MR 38 this time.

    What's going on at AeroHunter?

Oh man, that's all I use is a kestrel. I did a 14 hour sit dark to dark and several 5-6 hour sits this year and had no comfort issues. That's why I haven't gotten a newer saddle. My kestrel is comfortable and I know it was made by a company where safety was a top priority.

    What's going on at AeroHunter?

So what's the consensus then on a saddle that would be similar to a kite? Or is there a chance that AH starts making good saddles again?
