    Climbing Spurs

Anyone here use spurs to climb? Looking for some pros and cons. Other than tree damage, doesn't seem to be much of a down side Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk

Advice to get from Average Hunter to “Bigger Buck” / Mature buck Hunter

It's all about patience, and putting the work in. I like to get out on those dreary rainy days(covers noise moving, and washes away scent)and scout. Once you find good sign, I camera it up, put in some mock scrapes, or camera existing scrapes. Then like others have said, its the patience and...

deer hearing and mild noise: are all deer senses amazing?

I think deer are much like humans, and it just depends on that individual.... I have had deer come up on me shortly after doing something that I figured had ruined my hunt, and never paid any attention to me or what was going on. Then I have had deer react to something as simple as my sling...

    Setting up in River Bottoms

I personally LOVE creek and river bottoms. I usually scout around to find the where you have the most trails converging, or a river/creek crossing, and try to setup. I dont have much experience on public land so I don't know the do's and donts, but I would go in and thin the underbrush in the area

    Getting busted from behind

When at all possible, I try to set up with a tree with split limbs. It allows for more comfort and cover, or climb into cover, it's a little more tedious to climb but helps out in the long run. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk

I ran into the same problem Nicholas, I am not sure about Guido's Web because I haven't contacted them yet but I contacted New Tribe and expressed this concern. Their response was GREAT, they told me if I ordered one and was not happy with it so long as there was no damage they would refund me...

    Guido vs Aero Evolution

Thank you guys for the information.. I know looking at the two the GW appears to be A LOT more comfort driven, but I had seen several post on here talking about the Evo being great right out of the box so I was just trying to get some prospective from guys that have actually sat them both. I am...

    Secondary safety tie off.

Re: Secondary safety tie off. I have been using a safety systems 35ft rope with pruisit knot for hunting out of standard climbers. The idea behind it is hunting by yourself if you fall you have the ability to lower yourself down. I noticed in some other threads guys talking about repelling down...

    Guido vs Aero Evolution

I am a saddle virgin, but intend to make the leap over the summer for the upcoming season. For you guys that have been doing this a while and been able to hunt both which would you prefer for overall comfort in the tree? I often like to make LONG sits and hope these will embrace that sort of...

    Trail cams

I have figured out if you put the camera up in the tree above head level and angle it down very few notice it... including the others in your hunting area that pass thru not thinking to look up for cameras
