2023 Trail camera thread

This 6 is gonna get an arrow flung his way if I see him during season. Seems to me like an older deer that's put more inches on his waist line than head gear. Wondering if he's the buck from above with his antlers up in the tree behind him in these.

Daily sightings have begun. Don't care if he's not even 100". Won't be my first target but won't be passed if he slips up.

@Fgirtyman thats a herd. Last season all the Ag was off and there’s nobody around with serious foodplots, just corn feeders. Our property held the good deer in the area with oats wheat rye and brassicas. As long as you don’t have a bunch of acres of standing beans or corn to compete with, they hammer the greens.

I’ve been kinda bummed this summer, not much big on cams, but finally had a serious bachelor group walk by including this one. Might be favorite buck of all time just because he’s beat me for four seasons, pretty sure he’s 7-1/2 now. Slipperiest deer I’ve encountered. Oldest I’ve seen a buck get here, not sure if he’s smart or just happens to have perfect habits, either way he’s got something good going.C2060513-8A27-44E4-AE68-60C382D47A27.jpeg

I’ve seen this happen sometimes to. I’m not sure what causes it, maybe damage to the main beam when it 1st protrudes. The following yr the same deer wood look normal.

View attachment 88993 New piece of public that is tough to access.I didn’t have much on my cards and thought I wouldn’t bother hunting it but this guy was one of the last photos. The 2.5 miles and creek crossing doesn’t sound so bad now.
That's no youngster for sure. Good luck chasin that one.
