2024 Gear thread

Does the hook part at the end fold into the slot on the bottom portion?

I actually bought one at the mobile expo. Some local boys from LA haven’t had a chance to try it out on a hunt yet but it folds up a lot better than I thought and is built well. Only complaint I have from toying with it so far is how stiff the kydex is to get over your bridge and biner. But I’m sure with time it will open up alittle more and be easier to put on.
 
Got the backwoods platform holder for the fix. It's a perfect fit and the stitching is great.

My only concern is obviously the teeth face down and I'm leery of them chopping up the pack over time. Might have to take some light sandpaper and blunt them in the slightest to prevent it 1000025562.jpg
 
HSS just released a bunch of new products for saddle hunters. The most interesting thing is the SLAP Strap. Not sure I would ever use such a thing, but man, it has a catchy name.
 
That slap strap appears to be pretty well thought out. Good new product upon first glance. The way he shows it can add improved functionality and safety, as he mentions, to climbing with a lineman's belt. I agree could have uses with one-sticking as well... won't have to worry about the rope working its way down the tree with slack is introduced.

It appears it would limit the tree size to an extent.
