I just ordered mine so now I have two a Flex when they first came out and now
the Merlin.I went with the size one this time because of weight lost and hope to keep it off.
Just curious. What is your build that made you go with size 1? I ask because I lost some weight due to a recent Illness, I am 5'10" and about 150 lbs. right now, I have a CRUZR XC size 2, it's comfy, but I have been wondering if I would be better off with a size smaller. I have a 34 inch waist but slim build.

I was weak and ordered a Merlin on Monday. The price came up at $229, so far I have not received an email.

Not to jump in but I’m 5’9” 190lbs 36 waist and originally I ordered a size 2 flex then returned it for a size 1. I couldn’t see my self walking into hunt with a 2, it was really baggy and when you opened it up it was like wearing a parachute. Size 1 fits me really well and if I want more room to sit I just open it up. I sat in both and felt no real difference in comfort. I would say your a 1 all day.

Have you ever sat in a CRUZR? Think they would be similar to the Flex.

Never sat in a Cruzr but I would be almost positive you would be satisfied in a flex size size 1. I’m right on the line of a size 1 and 2 and I had the 2 tightened down all the way to make it work. Size 2 is a big saddle. You can give aero hunter a call, she will give you a size suggestion over the phone. Really good people over there. She told me a size 1 and I ordered a 2, she was right haha.

Sound like you are a size one to me. I’m 6’ 190 and really like my flex size 1. I think a size 2 would be too big for me. I ordered a Merlin size 1

So far I have only done basic testing (CRUZR XC size 2), have not even had it on a tree, so need lot's more testing. But what I keep finding is that the larger stiffer webbing on the CRUZR (bottom) really kind of dig's into legs, with the pleat open or closed. Maybe it is because I am hanging almost vertical (tether tied around beam in basement). When I find a combo that allows the mesh of the saddle to be more utilized (tight) it seems better, but could it be that there is "too much" mesh for my build? Not sure if I am making my point properly. Thinking also when I try this on a tree and the tether is ties at more eye (or even neck // chest) height it will be better, but I keep wondering if there is just more mesh in this saddle than I can fill up so to speak.

The Cruzr XC with the tether and at the top of my head is perfect for me . Over the years I have had and used different saddles and the Cruzr XC and the Areo Hunter Flex are two of the most comfortable I have ever used. They are way better than what was available when I started saddle hunting years ago.

Is the Flex size 1 the same size or smaller then the CRUZR XC size 2, if you know or have tried both?

Does anyone know if the Merlin and New Flex are the same size? Apologize if that's been mentioned somewhere, but I didn't see if when I checked. New member here looking to get a saddle, and am looking at those, the H2 and the Cruzer. Thx!

Someone might correct me but I believe they are identical saddles just the Merlin is a mesh version of the flex.

Also assuming New Flex is the same size as the older Flex? I'm a bigger guy, so trying to see how it compares in size to the Cruzr. Saw a video from earlier this year comparing the Cruzr and Flex, and the Cruzr was 2" taller according to him
