Alone [don’t read this thread if you don’t want a spoiler]

I can say that I've watched every season and this one was my favorite.

I’ve been watching them since they started. I don’t have a favorite. I fantasize about doing one, but I know the cold would end me. I think the show would never end if it wasn’t for the harsh winters of their locations.

Early in the show the contestants were questionable for sure. A lot of things in the show seem to be planned or dramatized. You just watch it and think, why the f*** would you do that... But, remember, you aren't always going to make good choices or logical ones when starving or dehydrated. Some of the contestants have been impressive though, especially with the things they try for the will to survive. It is crazy to watch how the human body gets consumed if the right things aren't taken in. Overall decent show, but not something good enough to keep me hooked.

Just finished the season the other day. I have seen all but the first one I believe. I thought this was a great season. All that work he put into his shelter early really paid off IMO. Rock house!!

When I started see camps burning down, I started wondering why no one ever made a cave. Or at least a partial cave. They always seem to have steep hill sides.

Next season we just gonna have to start off with saying “don’t read this thread if you don’t want a spoiler. “

I abused my mod powers to edit thread title as suggested. :)

Fun show. Harsh environment. Was actually rooting for Kielyn for some reason, tough to go that long and get nothing.

Roland was a beast.

Having seen a few previous seasons, it's funny how fire suppression/mitigation in the shelter is such a giant factor.

Sometimes I wonder if the get paid extra to do certain things like burn there shelter. Like that guy on this season, he already called in to tap out. Then he starts stoking the fire until it catches on fire. Had to make a little extra money before he went home.... lots of things like that seem suspicious to me.

If not they probably make up for it on the backend at least. Look at Britt, now he's doing jeep commercials!

Never heard of it until Clay Hayes promoted it, now I'll be watching every episodes ASAP. I would follow that man anywhere. That said, it was interesting to see how many people tapped out for bears, especially since they knew they were going into bear country. I guess all the preparations cant really mentally prep you, it does not really hit you until you actually encountered one. Not saying I'm Davy Crockett, I wouldn't want to be within 100 yards of a bear without a 7mm, a 12 gauges, and .44 all on me.

Some of the other contestants before were pretty good with a bow I thought.

Yeah, there have been a few that clearly had experience hunting/shooting a bow. Most of the time though I got the impression that shooting a bow and hunting were things that the contestant 'studied' specifically for the show, or at the very least had less real life experience than someone like Clay.

Or, I guess another way to put it is I am interested to see how well Clay's skills translate to survival.

Oh boy, I have another reason to be excited about this season.
It sounds like they will be on Chilko Lake in BC. My wife and I took a raft trip there several years ago. We stayed at the fancy Bear Camp on Chilko Lake the night before we launched. Then we paddled to the end of the lake and proceeded to raft Chilko, Chilcotin, and Frasier Rivers. Incredible country. Great trip! There are a lot of grizzlies on Chilko.
