Any reviews of this saddle. The Cruzr saddle

I ordered one yesterday so i'll see how it is when it comes in. I have nothing to compare it to though since its my first saddle. If your a veteran check out their facebook page and message them. They do offer a military discount.
 
So I took mine out to see if I could get a hog this morning. Walked a little over a mile in and out with it and the pleat stayed closed the whole time. If you don’t keep the leg straps overly tight it takes away the full diaper feeling when walking. I barely noticed it once adjusted.

Agreed. I sat in mine for a while yesterday with the leg straps way loose when I got down and walked back to the house the load in pants feeling was not there really.
 
I like a company that has been making saddles for hunting and arborist for years and has done some independent testing. I not saying that there's anything wrong or unsafe about the Cruzr saddle . I do like the looks of it and am interested in it.
I like to wait and get more reviews after it's been in the field for awhile. I am in no hurry I have enough saddles to keep me covered for years. I would like to buy a mesh saddle with the pleat in it just like my Flex.

Well I got sent home from work early today so I had some time to play with both the XC and S. I alternated between both going from my predator platform to my treehopper ring of steps. The S is nice. Good comfort level. I feel there is a little bit of pinch after sitting for an hour or so that I didnt feel with the XC. I don’t know there is something about the XC I just love.

So.... now I think maybe I should give the aerohunter flex another shot? But... correct me if my memory is incorrect but the pleat on the flex was always open and you could never really “shut it”... right?

Anyway I also made my own Utilibridge for the XC.

I just received my updated Flex and the pleat stays closed. I sent back the Flex that had the rubber material on it and that one didn't stay closed. I'm very pleased with the updated version.

I called @Chad Rice because I had a few questions. Let me say he was great to talk to and he answered all my questions. It sounds like they are basically professionally sewn and I’m pretty sure he said they have a professional seamstress employed. I watch the strength test video he did so I am definitely not worried about strength.

He also said he had been building saddles for several years and been hunting out of a saddle for 6 years. I currently have a flex. I like that saddle but it’s almost bulkier than I want. The CRUZR looks like a better version of a mesh flex with an updated amsteel bridge option.

Needless to say it looks cool and I’m excited to try it

How’s the stitching on this compare to others? Some saddles don’t look as clean to me as some, but the photos aren’t always the best either.. with that said, I ask for safety/longevity concerns is all. So far I’ve only owned an aero, but I feel they’ve been doing this awhile and make them for arborists as well, so it’s eases my mind some.

On par with Tethrd not quite up to the Aerohunter stitching standard.
 
My new Cruzr XC arrived Friday and I tested it yesterday and compared it against my Kestrel that I've hunted from the past two seasons. I like the Kestrel but just wanted to upgrade. Here are my first impressions. For leaning, I'd score a tie...no noticeable difference in comfort. For walking around while wearing the saddle, the Kestrel is more comfortable. The larger, lower-hanging seat of the Cruzr XC makes it much more noticeable when walking...and yes, the pleats were closed. It wasn't a problem, but I was quite aware that I was wearing it. For everything else I'd give the advantage to the Cruzr. It is more comfortable to sit in because the pressure distribution has far greater adjustability. The mesh is noticeably cooler in warm weather. It is lighter and more packable than the Kestrel. I ordered the adjustable amsteel bridge and the prusik knots grip very tightly with no slippage. This step-through setup eliminated a carabiner from my previous setup which is great...one less metal object to potentially bang against something and make noise. The three buckles on the Cruzr are significantly smaller and quieter that the Kestrel's but still very quick, easy and secure. The construction of both saddles is rock solid and I see no reason for anyone to have safety concerns over build quality.

Just met up with Mark Dohring today and he was nice enough to let me try out all of his saddles. I was especially impressed with the new Phantom especially when compared to the Mantis and very impressed with the Cruzr. The pleat on the Cruzr worked really awesome. Stayed shut when I wanted it to and opened into a big hammock-like seat that will be great for long sits. Got home and ordered a Cruzr with adjustable amsteel bridge. I'm pumped. Wasn't even planning on getting a new saddle this year, but I was intrigued by Mark's review. A lot of good options out there. I really think anyone would be happy with any saddle based on what features are important to them.
