Any reviews of this saddle. The Cruzr saddle

Cool. Is the seat area on the S model noticeably larger than the phantom?
I am not sure if the XC is the same size as the S when not extended, but here is a picture of the phantom and cruzr XC. I am also going to be selling my phantom. I’m still new to saddle hunting. I spent the last year hunting out of the mantis.

The XC is an S with a pleat.

Was there a price increase? $350 for an Xc?

$350 is for the complete kit which contains:
  • Our signature saddle the CRÜZR XC
  • Saddlebag
  • Back-band
  • Tether with Prusik and locking carabiner
  • Lineman’s rope with Prusik and locking carabiner
$215 for just the saddle, another $30 for adjustable bridge.

Well I got sent home from work early today so I had some time to play with both the XC and S. I alternated between both going from my predator platform to my treehopper ring of steps. The S is nice. Good comfort level. I feel there is a little bit of pinch after sitting for an hour or so that I didnt feel with the XC. I don’t know there is something about the XC I just love.

So.... now I think maybe I should give the aerohunter flex another shot? But... correct me if my memory is incorrect but the pleat on the flex was always open and you could never really “shut it”... right?

Anyway I also made my own Utilibridge for the XC.

Or a TX5. Dying for this comparison. You convinced me to get the XC weeks ago, yet TX5 has been getting a lot of hype lately. Now I'm torn between the two.

you are correct, after a bit of use, the pleat essentially stays open. It doesn't shut when unweighted, and it is usually fully open when in the tree. I love how comfortable the flex is, so I can forgive this small pleat issue. The cruzr and pleated tx-5's look like they are in the same comfort family as the flex.

I also got to sit in mine for awhile last night, as far as leaning goes it really didn't feel a lot different than other saddles I've tried but once i pulled the pleat down and sat it was very comfortable. I started and still have my Kestrel, tried the Trophy Line and the Phantom but just didn't care for them. The XC is very comparable to the Kestrel and maybe more comfortable for sitting. Going to go ahead and get the dump pouches and ropes on it and see how it stays up while walking, that my put it ahead of the Kestrel because it always wants to slide down with out having my line mans rope over my shoulder like a suspender. All in all very happy with the Cruzr XC going to hunt out of these 2 this year and go from there.

Im struggling to not try one of these or the TX5. I have a 36 waist and I hate where they have the sizing its always like 0 to 36 or 36 to 72 or something stupid why cant it be like 34-38 or close like that i always feel like I'm in between sizes on everything

Sizing on the Cruzr is:

Size 1 / 28”-32” Size 2 / 32”-38” Size 3 / 36”-42”

If you sit all the time I would probably lean towards a 3 otherwise I would say a size 2.

Atleast there is more than one size to choose from.

I am your size. Went with a size 2 on Crüzr recommendations

I like to sit.
I struggled over the size too

So I have a Flex already that I love it, but want a lighter more packable saddle for quicker hunts or long treks in, I was looking at a Phantom but a Cruzr S might be a perfect 2nd saddle for me.
