Beast Stand

Dan always said toe hook the stand.

I didn't even toe hook it in the yard playing around and it was solid and stuck in the tree when I released the buckle. Was on a soft maple though it sunk in pretty good. I got my new seat back now. That was a pretty fast turn around sent seat out they sent replacement out the day they received it. Nice customer support. So when I get some time I will do some more tinkering. Wanna do some testing on some small trees. I found a couple spots this spring and about my only option is 4-5" trees.

My stand will be delivered tomorrow and I can't wait to test it out!! I always toe hook and set my sticks.

Yeah I will when I am hunting I was just trying the shinny new toy out. I should have my straps Monday. Stupid me didn't pay attention to the thickness of the 3/4 strap I ordered to put my Sitka back pack straps on. Went to put them them on and strap was too thick for the buckles. Now waiting on the snail mail again.

What was wrong with your seat?

A little update. I wasn't going to buy the thread rod, but I thought Id try it. Don't like it at all. The weight distribution feels all wrong with the sticks being so far from the platform. And it's noisy even with the stealth strip on the rod. The end of the rod pings on the metal no matter how careful you are. It may not bother alot of people but I'm absolutely anal about noise. It'll be good ol bungees for me. And I'd bet come this fall Dan will be using bungees as wellView attachment 48259

I can understand what you are saying about the weight of the beast sticks creating a moment arm on the stand with the weight being cantilevered away from the stand.

Can you rotate the sticks 90 degrees from the position shown in your picture, such that they are stacked vertically (not horizontally), thus putting all of the sticks in the same plane nearest to the platform?

I must say I havent seen the issue with the batwing pulling away from the tree?? Did he not toe hook it? Or?

I can put all my Lone Wolf’s on a tree and they’d do the exact same thing if I didn’t cam-lock them. Even my OG Assault wouldn’t cam over on larger trees.
I watched the video you’re referring to a couple times and it didn’t seem like he cam locked the stand at all.
Especially considering how many other folks post pics of their Beast stand with the strap removed, still clenched onto a tree.....

I was wondering the same thing and use a 1 stick rod on the bottom stick! That's how I carry 5 beast sticks on my Assault stand.

I have the 5 stick rod w the stand if I don't like the reg stacking I may cut the rod down for 1 stick.

Just took some pics. Before and after toe hooking with the beast stand and lw alpha. The beast is easily the hardest biting tree stand I've ever used. It harpoons bark. Admittedly the strap does get close to the bracket but it doesn't touch

Do you think the Beast bracket penetrates into the cambium layer of the tree or just the inner bark?
