Beast Stand

So I'm beyond blow away. So so much better than my .5 was. In not an infalt fart sniffer but he absolutely crushed it with this stand. NO sharp edges whatsoever. My 11 feet don't hang off. The width isn't a problem. The aluminum post has almost no wiggle or flex as compared to the .5 machined post. That bracket bites into the tree like I've never seen. So light. It has it all. Only con is the seat is a generic Garbo foam seat. And the backpack straps blow

I would recommend the ultimate seat cushion for the ultimate treestand...but it would increase total weight by 50%!

It looks like Hunt Comfort has an inventory problem. Not a single cushion in stock?? And they discontinued the seat to fit Lone Wolf a while ago.

for what it's worth, I accidentally left a hunt comfort cushion at the base of the tree for over a year. I uncovered it when I went to hunt the spot again the following season. It's still in great shape, though a little dirty. If I sit on metal in the woods, the hunt comfort cushion is in between. Worth the weight/bulk.

The old hunt comforts were awesome. The new ones are meh. I would probably go with one of those $10 LWCG defective ones if the seat is that bad.

I have one of the original Hunt Comforts specifically built for and sold by LW on my Alpha and it will be getting moved to my Beast stand soon. I’m sure it’s a bit heavier than any foam seat but well worth the increase in comfort. It’s the only way I can sit on a regular stand anymore with my screwed up back.

Sorry for high jacking away from the Beast stand, but I called Hunt Comfort and they are now owned by Summit. Renamed to "Tail Mate". Another one of those, lets buy somebody and do away with what works deal. Only have 3 seats now. They can be see here:

Wow… that is a shame! Destroyed hunt comfort…smh

Haven’t spent any amount of time on the beast stand seat but it was way better than the lone wolf assault seat. I’m assuming it’ll be better.

I called it garbo in my original review but after using it more I don't think it's that bad. Honestly I won't know for sure till I start doing observation sits later this year and see how it feels. It's stiff and not gel like but it is rather thick

It will probably soften up over time.

Dan did say he designed a higher end but more expensive seat for it. Didn't say if he was going to release it tho or when

A little update. I wasn't going to buy the thread rod, but I thought Id try it. Don't like it at all. The weight distribution feels all wrong with the sticks being so far from the platform. And it's noisy even with the stealth strip on the rod. The end of the rod pings on the metal no matter how careful you are. It may not bother alot of people but I'm absolutely anal about noise. It'll be good ol bungees for me. And I'd bet come this fall Dan will be using bungees as wellScreenshot_20210616-170406__01.jpg

I wasnt going to get the rod either but figured I would try it. Well I got the rod but still no stand. I am worried about that 16” width and size 13 boots.

When I cut the stealth strips on my sticks I just made a X and curled it back under...the noise is greatly reduce but with the rod stealth strip it now takes some coercing to get the rod out...but I know with full size sticks I can’t pack them the way they are advertised before leaf drop...But bungees or titan straps and vertical

The stand offs fall right in place with cut outs...same with no seat pad and all four nestle together but no photos of it

You can actually pack beast sticks tighter if you face them towards each other .
But you can only stack two on either side of the stand.
