Beast Stand

I'll be interested in the season-long reviews of the beast stand. I have often wanted more leveling slots on the post of my assault 2. When I saw that Dan had the exact same 4 slots I went with a .5. I made one hunt in it before the season closed and am pretty happy with the decision. I like the size of the platform on the beast stand more, but it lacks in leveling, and I'm not uncomfortable in the .5. I'm 6'0" and wear a size 10.

The .5 might have more slots but the top 1 or 2 are useless. You can’t get the thumb knobs past the strap.

They just added one above and one below the original 4. The top one is tight but I haven't had issues getting it in that slot. I've only hunted with it once and climbed a few different trees in my yard though.

Does the new beast stand seat become a shelf during transport? I thought I heard/read that somewhere but the beast website doesn't say anything or have any pics showing that (unless I missed it somehow).

As currently advertised, no.

You can use the rod to make the sticks act like a “shelf”

Yes. Smartly, the first stick will lay against the tree bracket (below it) as a brace for support. A couple and maybe even a few sticks should give good support for a bag and certainly offer a place to nestle outerwear. But I doubt its going to be much of a load bearing shelf.

Wow…. Beating the 6/1 estimated ship date. That’s highly unusual for the industry.

Haters are still going to hate, lol

I'm VERY curious on initial quality perception, once these hit people's hands. Dan has been bragging about waxing every joint and how dead silent these are.

I'm now of the opinion, at least from a "ringing" standpoint, that cast>machined.

Dan said on the beast that most parts will be in Thursday and some are shipping now!!

For those who have waited... I hope it’s everything u want

At least on a positive note they have enough pride to assemble them and double check everything before it goes out the door with their own hands. I doubt they will have the quality issues some others have had. I don't think they will let out of spec product go out the door at this price point. The way it should be. Some other companies never even see what they are shipping until there is a problem. I give oal props for this also great quality control.

I want to go with this method. Any recommendations? Pm please.
If I may give a pro tip to this.. look for an old sit drag and just keep it rolled up in your backpack. I find that most stands aren't as comfortable as a saddle and have used a sit draw with RCH for quite some time before purchasing one that was manufactured. I think you'll be very happy with your decision.
