Best dump pouches?

I didn’t know anything about the history or politics of the business when I bought mine. I was brand new to saddle hunting and just got what I thought I needed. So far it’s been good to me.

It’s not politics. Just history.

Sure. But as a brand new saddlehunter I had no clue.

sure. and it sounds like they are a better quality now so you’re right to be pleased.

but for those who had them falling apart in short order, it’s not “Tethrd hate” to be of the opinion steer clear. It’s not a single product narrative either.

on the other hand, if the product is exactly what someone wants and is now good to go, go for it, if that narrative doesn’t matter to you.

like all the “haters” using their ONE stick now.

I agree completely. Their product placement dominated the airwaves and I hadn’t yet joined this forum. I’ve now got several years of use out of the darn thing and like the design. When it finally gives out I may just make myself a copy of it.

The legend saddle dump pouches are pretty nice.
Do you happen to have dimensions on those? Medium - large isn't very descriptive..

Edit : I inquired, 9x9 for the main part 9x12 with the ripstop extended up.

For just a standard dump pouch, the Latitude Method pouch is hard to beat…They’re way better than the Tethrd.

I’ve got a couple TX5 pouches on order. By the reviews, they’re great pouches.

Method pouch is huge…lol

The TX5 pouches seem to be hit or miss… sometimes you get one the draw string binds on… and it sucks. Sometimes you get a good one.

I recently bought a couple dump pouches off of Amazon called, Excellent Elite Spanker. They seem to be really good quality and reasonably priced.

Yikes. How many have you purchased and when?

In the past I've used og Tethrd pouches, gen2 Tethrd pouches and TX5 pouches. I now use only EWO (cowboy suede) fleece pouches.

I had probably 10 the last couple of years.

Geez.

The couple I’ve had were immaculate. Single order, 2021. Still, I’d build something different for my specific preferences. Why I like CGM and others who will do that kimd of work, well.

I use a set of the Amazon pouches. Mine were sold in a 3 pack. So far no complaints. They do what they are supposed to do, hold stuff.

Just got a new (to me) TX5 Lonestar, and I need some new dump pouches. Been using the same ones that came on my OG Trophyline Ambush from the 90's, and it's time for an upgrade. Leaning toward a couple of TX5 pouches because they would match my saddle (OCD) and they're made in 'murica. But.... a couple of the Tethrd sys haulers with the exterior/interior pockets look like they would be pretty handy as well.
For reference, I normally carry lineman, tether, paracord gear hanger, pull-up/pull-down rope w/ nite ize carabiners, headlamp, and sometimes bolts with a hand drill on my saddle now.
Anybody have a favorite dump pouch, and what do you like about it?
EWO Fleece. Threw all my others in the junk drawer.

Yep, I prefer the Tethrd ES OG with the side pockets, which are great for ready access stuff. On one side, the two side pockets hold my MadRock/biner and Dynaglide, while the main holds 40’ of Canyon C-IV rappel line. Other side, the two side pockets hold my GPS and a water bottle, while the main holds my tether setup as well as rescue loops, and a couple of power bars with room left over. They work great for me. Good Luck!

I use the tethrd pouches. One has the pouches on each end like @2Sloe . I put a cayg aider in one pocket and a hand saw or pruner in the other. The main holds my linemans belt. The other pouch has three pockets on the outside and inside. Great for organizing gear in the pouch.
But I did purchase an EWO tall suede pouch. And just have to ask why didn't somebody tell me about how big and roomy the Dano pouches are?
