Biting the bullet

I ended up selling mine. I could not stand how it would hang down low, even strapped tight to my back. The bottom legs would hit the back of my heels every time I tried to take a large step. I tried to get situated multiple ways, but just didn't work for my height. I am 5 foot 8. After tripping over those legs for the 3rd time I had it. For my thin body style I did not like how the seat compressed when I was sitting. It would fold up slightly in the front and would be mildly uncomfortable to the inside thigh. Also I was going to pack it while saddle hunting and leave it at the base of a tree. it was really loud going through the tight brush that I have to go through to get to my public areas. The sticks were really scraping on it. That could be fixed with some tape or stealth strips though.

Hillsound BTR Stool - Ultralight Camping/Hunting/Multipurpose Stool, 2 Year Warranty https://www.amazon.com/dp/B084TCG4V2/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_YSQ0NFTCMN56WNBM53RV?psc=1

I am going to switch over to this stool and hammock chair combination.

This is disheartening because I just mailed a check for a Pacseat this afternoon and I too am 5'8".

You might not have any problems, but at least you can have a heads up about the possibility! It cost me a rifle deer because it was on my back, and I was moving fast to get into position, and it tripped me and I fell to my knees. Just my isolated experience, but it is light weight and sets up easily.

Take heed, I had the problem of the legs hitting mine and very occasionally hitting the ground, then I adjusted the shoulder straps to raise the whole unit up just high enough on my back but still low and below my head and I have absolutely no problems covering any terrain with this thing. It will come shipped right out of the box ready to go..... but not custom adjusted to each individual. It also has a waist belt to keep it against your back and I have it so the bottom legs are probably at about at the inside of my knees if I'm standing straight up. No issues at all. I hunt in hilly terrain and that is what is awesome about this seat, its on your back until you need it. But you can be up over the deer or the turkeys using the terrain to watch over benches and hummacks below you. The minute the wind shifts or changes, you can easily move to the other side within minutes, not tens of minutes or even half hours. I'm telling you, it is a great investment and you can use it at camp, fishing, etc. The only thing I did when I got mine in was vet wrap the whole thing to make it a little quieter. I bought mine last year and shot this turkey gobbler out of it the first day of the spring season and deer hunted with it several times during gun season. IMG-6126.jpg

The pac seat is the epitome of mobile hunting in my most humbe opinion fellow hunters!!!

The older I get the more I tend to get bored while waiting for deer in a typical pre-set tree stand situation. It is one of the reasons I got into saddle hunting because the process of hunting is more fun for me and is much more rewarding than just climbing a ladder stand or going in a shooting house or whatever. I'm not knocking that style of hunting at all but for me personally, it got to be super boring and it sucked the fun out of hunting to me. This is true more so during the gun season for me than bow season but it even during bow season, going to the same stands and locations after awhile is just boring. Same for turkeys. Running and gunning for gobblers has its place but after awhile, it loses its flair. I know I'm rambling but my point is, you can really change up your day with this seat. Its so light and easy to carry in, I even brought it in with me, put it at the base of my tree for a saddle preset and then at mid day, got down, stowed my saddle in my pack and went still hunting, stalking with the pac seat. If the wind changed and I didn't want to deal with getting down, and then moving to another pre-set location, I just hunted out of the pac seat after moving into a more favorable wind. This also has utility if your'e a predator hunter too. This thing rocks for turkey and predator hunting too. Multiuse tool for sure folks!!

So the saddle thing is cool and I can see a place for it in my life. However even as a young adventurous buck that likes to climb my most enjoyable hunts have been on the ground in my tree seat. I’ve been looking at one of these for years and finally bit the bullet. Wait list is mid may but I’m hoping this is gonna be as good as I think it will. Finally ordered Waldrop pac seat and might be doing a lot of ground hunting. Big bullet but buy once fry once right? After all I did drop a small fortune on saddle hunting.
Ive been really contemplating this myself.
i doubt i will just because im in real need in an upgraded modern new bow lol

After wearing out my REI chair (no longer made) last year after 5 abused years, I replaced it with this one for the coming turkey season and will get deer use too (many deer and tuekeys were taken from that chair). This one sits up slightly higher than the typical gobbler loungers style and only weighs 3.5 lbs, including the carrying bag. it also folds up to half the length and will fit in a turkey vest.

That thing looks comfortable as all getout. Shooting a stickbow from it might be dicey though.

That's exactly what I was thinking too. It looks super comfortable for a gun hunter though!!

Got a call yesterday to confirm my address.
I was told that it should be shipping in the next week or so, which would be right in line with what I was told when I ordered.

You're going to be amazed at how light it is. Great product. The first thing I did was vet wrap all the exposed aluminum and it is super quiet now too as I just realized I posted earlier. Anyway, let us know what you think and your first impressions.

Great news man! That means only a month longer for me ;)

Sitting my patrol car. About to leave for shift. Package comes to doorway, I didn’t order anything. Checked my Amazon orders, nothing out for delivery. Go look at package and it’s my pacseat two weeks ahead of schedule. Packed it in unit and will look at it as soon as able.
