Post some pics of the bow you are taking to the woods this year!

Hoyt RX7 set at 59#, 28” draw slinging 520 grain arrows. According to my shops chrono it’s hitting 237 FPS. Going with magnus stingers this year as my broad head of choice.

Axcel armor tech vision 5 pin sight
Tight spot 5 arrow quiver
Hamskea epsilon
Gas high octane string

That’s a slick setup!!! I’ve heard that Elites are one of the smoothest shooting bows on the market. Just out of curiosity, how are you shooting 27” arrows out of a bow with a 29” DL? At first I thought maybe you were shooting an overdraw, but don’t see one on there.

A lot of the time ppl cut arrows 1” shorter than draw length. Your rest is set back from the riser plus a knock adds another half inch. I would think his 27” is measured carbon to carbon, not including the knock. Eve if including the knock 27” would probably be just fine anyways on that draw.

Thank you and Elite offer a shooter's challenge, to get you to try their bows. I like how the draw cycle feels, how it shoots and how it sits in my hand. :cool: Well worth the money! One of the engineers that left Bowtech, designed Obsession, then Obsession was sold to Martin Archery. He then designed Elite and as far as I know, that's where's he's still producing bows.

The 29" DL is to the center arrow rest hole. If you notice the QAD rest is behind the riser and when it's fully engaged, it's a good 2" behind that center arrow rest riser hole. :)

@Harleycharlie
I nearly purchased one of those Triax machines, the first year they came out. :) It was very smooth shooting and quiet at the shot.
Yes it is quiet…. Idk what it is but I have newer Mathews bows just decided this year to use my triax. It small easy to manage and the ibo is faster than the V3x 29. It’s more quiet than my V3x 33. So I figured why not. I’m very happy with its performance the only thing I would change is the arrows. I’m not impressed with the Sirius arrows, not for what they cost.

funny you say that about the sirius arrows because I feel the same way. I ordered some and they are strong but definitely not any better than gold tip hunter xts IME.

2016 PSE Decree Ti Dream Season. Terrible shootability, extremely short valley that wants to go at a moments notice but she hammers. I think I have over 15 deer with this bow since new in 2016 and will keep it as a back up but next year I need a new bow with a smoother draw. Hunting on the ground with this things is a nightmare because of the draw cycle. But Trophy Ridge React Pro 1 sight. Nice but too heavy. Of course my absolute favorite the whisker biscuit! She isn't anything fancy anymore but I never had an issue with that bow. Not once.

They shoot okay , but it’s the 3rd set I have bought. I think out of 12 I can only get 2-3 arrows to spin true. I check on the ram spine checker and the dial is dancing all over. Thought something was wrong with my ram tester. I check Easton 4mm , victory rip xv or black eagle rampage those arrows are on point!!! Don’t want to bash any brand but for the money other brands are simply better.
