Canoe rebuild

Couple little details I still have to add to it but the first trip was a success.... Now I just need to get some blood in the bottom to get the turd broke in right

The little Nissan will be fine... I'm thinking a dual purpose transport/storage frame. I got some ideas just need to get some materials.
I would love a topper but they are crazy expensive on the used market around here.

Bummer, you can pick them up for free all over around here!

Back 25 years ago I built a simple 2x4 rack for my S10 to haul my canoe. Worked perfect and was easily removed.

If you can post a photo I'd really appreciate it
As @Vtbow said, for a guy with your skills I suspect you could knock one of these out pretty easily. The hockey stick rack is what I made for the roof rack.

Hockey sticks are rare these parts......
Are those foam blocks on the hockey sticks?
Yep, foam car top carrier blocks. I must admit those are rare hockey sticks indeed. I'm one of the dinosaurs who used wood sticks the entire time I played. I think I only owned like 4 composite sticks in my life.

I've got like a dozen hickory koho sticks in the garage. Fanciest I ever got was glass laminate

I forgot the phone so no picture but my boy and I just got back from the second outing. We went to check out some public only accessible by boat. The canoe handled the skinny water great. We saw 10-15 wood ducks and 3 does. Doubtful I'll get to hunt with the canoe this season but I'm starting to form a gameplay for next season
