Anyone figured out what buckles are on the cruzr?
Soooo.... Do we feel like these are safe enough to trust your life to?
Replaced mine so... I am not worried...
Link to what & where?Replaced mine so... I am not worried...
1.5 inches??D-Ring COBRA® ProStyle 18kN – AustriAlpin

This buckle is a bit heavy but I like to tie into the D-Ring as a backup. It's what I use on all my saddles.
COBRA® ProStyle – Stretch Adjustable – AustriAlpin

This one replaces the original buckle exactly as it is on the Cruzr.
COBRA® ProStyle – Dual Adjustable – AustriAlpin

This one is adjustable on both sides. Make centering the buckle easier with layers. If you care about that sort of thing.
Any old company can stamp something on metal, but that doesn't make it rated or strong. There are companies out there that falsely advertise their products' qualities. If you're selling something to a jeweler, I promise he is testing the intrinsic properties of the materials and not trusting whatever is stamped on the face. I think it's my right to want verification that the waist buckle, which can literally be the difference between paralysis and walking, life and death, is good enough. If you want to trust your life to stamping on metal, instead of the reputation of the company that's doing the manufacturing (and stamping), be my guest, but that gives you no right to be condescending to others who are more cautious.I am still blown away by the amount of attention non-load bearing buckles are getting. It's almost to the point that it seems like slander. The waist buckle (the only one that matters) is rated to 24kN or something, its stamped right on it.
Anyone find the weight rating of the tethrd T hooks? (rolls eyes so hard I fall backward)

I believe you are correct.I am still confused though. The belt buckle should not be load bearing unless I am missing something. All your load should be on your bridge loops or your linesman loops no? I am having a hard time thinking of a situation where my belt or leg buckles is every carrying my weight, but I might be having a brain fart??
