EZV Set Up Tips

Nice shootin' Tex!
When I switched my insert around there was a little "relearning" especially at 40 plus yards but it dosent take long and your eye/brain starts to mesh again.

When I shoot with the Mark's it's great. When I use the v at dark I shoot 6 inches high. We are talking 20 yards.
I bought the sight used and didn't have a target that usually is supplied. Should it matter?

It shouldn't if it was sighted in correctly. Are you shooting good in normal daylight? I haven't played around with it in low light conditions yet, but I would think(and hope) it wouldn't be any different. Maybe one of the guys on here that have been using it longer has some insight?

Also how do you shoot inside ten yards with just the V close to dark. You can't use the marks and the vital is bigger than the V.

I would just center the target inside the upper V as best you can. Inside ten yards should not be too much issue, basically point and shoot.

Getting better. Think it's time to erase the black tick marks and really focus on how I frame the vitals.

To improve even more, get rid of the FMJ arrows. After any aluminum core arrow gets bent, it will hold its distortion. They fly great till then though. Just a little helpful tip for ya.

I just got my ezv. I’m really impressed. I shoot 2-3” groups at 40 yards within getting the right insert. I’m very impressed! As long as I don’t have the bubble level, the arrow is going where I want it to.

Wow^^^^that doesn’t make sense. To sum it up....within 15 minutes of getting the correct insert, I was shooting 2-3” groups at 40 yards. I had to make sure the bubble was level, if I did that the arrow went where I wanted it to. I stepped back to 50 and my groups were bigger but still pretty good for the first time out with the ezv and new bow.
