For those 2 panel-ers

I ordered the floating D last friday and it should be here tomorrow. Im beand new to saddles and was thinking of using a hunting safety harness paired with a sitdrag to start with. I got a bad back and Im old and fat so if it isnt for me I dont want to be out a lot of money. I seen this last week and figured it would atleast save me the cost of the sitdrag.

Mine came today. I ordered the floating D model. I cut the floating D ring off, and cut the leg straps off. Wrapped the rings with camo wrap and folded the bridge and wrapped it as well.

This thing is nice. Compared to my latitude Method this saddle has more padding, but it doesn't balance the weight between legs and back when leaning back as well as the method does. If you tie into the bridge it almost feels like you are in a sitdrag only. You can't adjust the pressure to equalize unless you tie in lower on the tree. I usually tie it at eye level when standing. Either way it is very comfortable and like all saddles you have to figure out which height gives you the most comfort. Going hunting with it tomorrow. If I would have known this last summer I would have not purchased my latitude. What a money saver.

I still use my sitdrag for back support with my regular saddle. I have zero back pain saddle hunting. Stand hunting I always had backpain. Your feet will hurt, but that's better than the back.

What do you mean you folded the bridge?

If these saddle cause you to sit back to far I wonder if you could put a second adjustable bridge off the linesman loops to help hold you upright a little more??? Just doing some pre-planning before mine arrives and I can play...……...

Also, for the floating D, I think I may just build a tether with a loop on the tail which I'll feed through the metal D the keep my prussic and carabiner above the D to eliminate noise. Not sure if there is enough room for that but again just thinking of how I'll run things with this harness/saddle. I also have a roll of hockey tape for the metal rings which I 'll do either way.

I think you could. I use my sitdrag normally as a back rest

God you guys suck....lm waiting to open my Recon on Christmas day that my wife 'got me'. Now I have to use my own money to buy this thing and justify it with my wife.
Just tell her you ordered this one for preseason scouting, presetting locations and you dont want to abuse your good one she got you!!

My middle daughter is in 7th grade, I'm hoping she will try this one out too but she is super skinny. She helped me do a lot of cell cam grabs this year on public climbing up to change out my sd cards. She likes climbing the trees.
